Cat in need

Site Update

Update: Fire Deja (#1163) has contacted the shelter but lives in California. They can hold the cat until tonight. Slash is willing to cover the cost to ship the cat, but we need a Florida person to actually go in TODAY and adopt the cat so that he can be transported to Deja.

M-M-Mini + LizzyLiz (#567) has an urgent message to Florida Aywasians:

Do you know anyone who lives near Tampa Bay, Florida who could adopt a cat? There's a really sweet black cat that's due to be killed in a few hours if he can't find a home or enough pledges or a rescue.

His info:

6/6 SIGNED OFF FOR EUTH!!! ARGUS WILL BE EUTHANIZED EARLY IN THE MORNING! If you can adopt, adopt-to-rehome, or rescue, you MUST email [email protected] BEFORE 9AM with the words DO NOT EUTH and the Animal ID# in the subject line (serious adopters and rescues only). Include you name and contact information and let the shelter know you can pick up the cat tomorrow. MUST BE PICKED UP TOMORROW!! You can also try calling the shelter starting at 8AM at 813-744-5660 to make sure your email was seen.

I love cats so much. We have had a stay give birth to two litters last year in or she'd. I rescued them kept one and others went to shelter and were adopted. I used to live down there but it has been 27 Yeats. If I still lived there I would have taken him. Praying for his adoptive family to come for him.

Out of curiosity, why are you specifically trying to save this cat, and not any of the other animals being euthanised?

As a user currently living in Japan, I am WAY too far away. He looks like a little kitty I tried to rescue the other day actually - who died from internal injuries :( Hope his time at least gets extended so someone can get him.

Probably because they know him/because he is so young and the only reason he is being put down is because of his color/overcrowding combined. This is just my best guess.

sending a pledge toward buying him some time, posting this info to my All Paws Bulletin on FB, and redflagging it to my rescue-and-foster contacts in the FL area - is there any more feedback on the two people (FL and CA) that had a rescue-adopt-and-ship plan going?

Prays and hope go out to the little one. So close here in GA but already over shooting my landlord now with the three cats, one dog and three humans. Lord knows I would love to help that baby. If we need to do a pass over thing to get the baby some where I think we could try. You know.

okay, put him up in Care2 as well and flagged both Care2 and FB via Twitter (not bad for someone who HATES "social media"...)
