Update: Fire � Deja (#1163) has contacted the shelter but lives in California. They can hold the cat until tonight. Slash is willing to cover the cost to ship the cat, but we need a Florida person to actually go in TODAY and adopt the cat so that he can be transported to Deja.

Do you know anyone who lives near Tampa Bay, Florida who could adopt a cat? There's a really sweet black cat that's due to be killed in a few hours if he can't find a home or enough pledges or a rescue.

If you can adopt, adopt-to-rehome, or rescue, you MUST email [email protected] BEFORE 9AM with the words DO NOT EUTH and the Animal ID# in the subject line (serious adopters and rescues only). Include you name and contact information and let the shelter know you can pick up the cat tomorrow. MUST BE PICKED UP TOMORROW!! You can also try calling the shelter starting at 8AM at 813-744-5660 to make sure your email was seen.

This breaks my heart. I love black cats or any cat for that matter. Wish i could help but i live in alabama and dont know anyone other than some extended family i have no way of contacting that even live in florida.

Argh, so cuute! Reminds me of my boy... *eyes derpy back cat who's been yacking up balloon ribbon for the past two days* Oh Gawd, hope he doesn't act the same as mine... And hope everything ends up okay!

Reminds me when I had 2 black cats, miss them so much. Ahh I hope this cat is saved! Too young to go ;-;
