Cat in need

Site Update

Update: Fire Deja (#1163) has contacted the shelter but lives in California. They can hold the cat until tonight. Slash is willing to cover the cost to ship the cat, but we need a Florida person to actually go in TODAY and adopt the cat so that he can be transported to Deja.

M-M-Mini + LizzyLiz (#567) has an urgent message to Florida Aywasians:

Do you know anyone who lives near Tampa Bay, Florida who could adopt a cat? There's a really sweet black cat that's due to be killed in a few hours if he can't find a home or enough pledges or a rescue.

His info:

6/6 SIGNED OFF FOR EUTH!!! ARGUS WILL BE EUTHANIZED EARLY IN THE MORNING! If you can adopt, adopt-to-rehome, or rescue, you MUST email [email protected] BEFORE 9AM with the words DO NOT EUTH and the Animal ID# in the subject line (serious adopters and rescues only). Include you name and contact information and let the shelter know you can pick up the cat tomorrow. MUST BE PICKED UP TOMORROW!! You can also try calling the shelter starting at 8AM at 813-744-5660 to make sure your email was seen.

Iam glad to see this community is trying so hard to save an animal. I have live in northern California and i have been trying to adopt out our 2 9 month old kittens for a long time. its hard to get animals homes.

I so wish I could adopt the little fella. I don't live near Florida though, and our cat wouldn't allow another cat in her territory anyway. (She is very much of an attitude that only she can live in the house. *we have lots of ferals/strays who are outdoor cats.*) I hope his story has a happy ending!

I have 4 cats and live in a country with only no-kill shelters luckily, yet I rescued one of mine out of a Spain kill shelter, too, I know how it feels to work against time. I keep my fingers crossed this comes to an happy ending for all the scheduled cats and I would be willing to spend money for this also.

Please tell me someone is saving this cat. I live too far away.

As someone too far away (and with 3 adults, 1 toddler and 2 cats in a smallish apartment already) I am sending mojo to all involved, and I hope you guys can save the kitty in time.

I live in Arizona too. Let me know if small monetary donations might help somehow.
