Update: Fire � Deja (#1163) has contacted the shelter but lives in California. They can hold the cat until tonight. Slash is willing to cover the cost to ship the cat, but we need a Florida person to actually go in TODAY and adopt the cat so that he can be transported to Deja.
M-M-Mini + LizzyLiz (#567) has an urgent message to Florida Aywasians:
Do you know anyone who lives near Tampa Bay, Florida who could adopt a cat? There's a really sweet black cat that's due to be killed in a few hours if he can't find a home or enough pledges or a rescue.

Include you name and contact information and let the shelter know you can pick up the cat tomorrow. MUST BE PICKED UP TOMORROW!! You can also try calling the shelter starting at 8AM at 813-744-5660 to make sure your email was seen.

I'm with Anbu on that one... Please keep us in the loop. As a lover of black kitties, it breaks my heart to see one so cute suffering over a cruel twist of fate. I'd help if I could but unless the shelter's online too... [shrugs helplessly & upset in Michigan]

I live in west virginia so i can't. Already got three cats anyways. I have a cousin, my grandma and great grandma but they won't adopt him. :( black cats are awesome. My family and I got two and mine is such a baby. She's around seven and I love her so much. we had her sister but she died flew years ago we got slushy one. D: our third cat is a tabby cat m

Augh, my dad lives in Florida but he /just/ drove up here two days ago, otherwise I could have had him adopt and have him shipped up here to my house ;n; if it weren't such a small timeframe they gave I'd go down myself and get him, but Ohio to Florida isn't doable right now ;( I sincerely hope someone can save him. I've seen Aywas users and the site as a whole do some amazing things-I hope this can be added to the list. That poor pretty babe, I've always wanted a black cat too ;n;

I'm all the way in Australia so no dice for me, I hope you guys from earlier get to him in time! He looks like such a darling, and it's so unfair to kill cats just because they're 'undesirable'. Please, please let him be okay...

Going to try calling at 8am to donate a pledge if it will help kitty for a few more days. He looks like my kitty that passed away a year andna half ago. He was only 4-5ish. Angus, I'm rooting for you buddy.

I love cats but I have no hopes of being able to adopt him firstly I live in Canada, and second my mom doesn't allow me to have cats. Why do they have to euthanize the kitty! :'(
When the time comes where I can get a cat I'm definitely adopting! I hope someone will be able to adopt him!
