Update: Fire � Deja (#1163) has contacted the shelter but lives in California. They can hold the cat until tonight. Slash is willing to cover the cost to ship the cat, but we need a Florida person to actually go in TODAY and adopt the cat so that he can be transported to Deja.
M-M-Mini + LizzyLiz (#567) has an urgent message to Florida Aywasians:
Do you know anyone who lives near Tampa Bay, Florida who could adopt a cat? There's a really sweet black cat that's due to be killed in a few hours if he can't find a home or enough pledges or a rescue.

If you can adopt, adopt-to-rehome, or rescue, you MUST email [email protected] BEFORE 9AM with the words DO NOT EUTH and the Animal ID# in the subject line (serious adopters and rescues only). Include you name and contact information and let the shelter know you can pick up the cat tomorrow. MUST BE PICKED UP TOMORROW!! You can also try calling the shelter starting at 8AM at 813-744-5660 to make sure your email was seen.

Talk to Deja here - she wants to adopt him, but she needs someone in Florida to adopt him first and set up travel arrangements. I can cover shipping,, but we need someone to get him from the shelter first!

This just hurts me '~' If I lived in Florida I would snatch him right up! I love animals, euthanization just kills me... It shouldn't be legal.
