Sparkle melos makes all the dough. Also, keep practicing and trying new things. You'll get good eventually.

The edits on a custom can make or break it. Don't clutter or mismatch them, and make sure they're well-drawn and properly shaded in a way that matches the rest of the pet!

I like colors that look good together, and seasonal colors are usually good.

I like to work with a dark background colour, and switch it to a lighter colour periodically, to check for stray pixels/bleeds and spots I need to fill in c:

Don't make the design too cheesy or tacky. ;)

Here's a tip - practice! More seriously though... I find that trying new things tends to work. If you don't like what you've done, or how you've done something, try something new. Never give up trying something, and never be afraid of using a lot of layers!

When doing a pet, make sure the lines match the colors they are near. Not too dark, not too light.
