Teo Eggs

Site Update

We've finally figured out what we want to do with Teo Eggs! Like we said before, we decided that a random event was going to determine the owners of Teo Eggs (as opposed to breeding and adoption center stalking, as then everyone could have a chance).

To prevent people from auto-refreshing or cheating to get Teos, which was our main issue with them being a pure chance random event considering it'd cause a lot of lag, we decided that one teo egg will be given out by the site at 6:00 PM every day. All you have to do is be online at that time and the script could randomly choose you to send the Teo Egg event to.

Good luck! There are sixty five Teo sitting in the queue right now so a new one will go out at 6:00 PM for quite a while, and we'll restock them as needed.

*Gives everyone chocolate* I have a lot left over from Sinterklaas. Chocolate is always good and it usually manages to make things better. :)

Orange : "I wonder if this is going to be like previous Teo events and be prioritzed to go to low number accounts and staff."
(Incomplete due to injury)

Eveglori : "Orange (#52359) - It's good to see that someone has to be a killjoy for those of us who dare try as hard as any other user to enjoy the site we spend more time working on than playing =|"

Orange : "@eveglori not being a killjoy but asking a question to do with the programming. As many thousands of dollars i have contributed to this site I think I have a right to ask =|"

Eveglori : "Orange (#52359) - The accusatory tone was unneeded; asking if it's programmed to account for all active accounts equally is a neutrally toned and fair question without having to bring in how much you have spent on enjoying the site, or insinuating that staff and lower IDs have any advantage over other users. Your post was intended as an an accusation levelled towards the site, and if it wasn't then it certainly read like it and you should probably be more careful about how your posts come across."

Orange : "Eveglori (#2775) it absolutely was not meant as an accusation but thanks. If you are a programmer then you would understand that the nature of the question and why the question was not accusatory but relevant. priority stacks and Queues and be very complex. I am stunned at the personal attack I received over a programming question."

Eveglori : "Orange (#52359) - I am very glad that you love Aywas enough to put money into furthering that enjoyment, but you should be aware that mentioning this in every post is only serving to make you sound as though you feel more entitled to have your voice heard than other members. This naturally rubs people the wrong way, as does levelling accusations towards people (whether it was accidental poor wording or intentional), and will likely be why people have taken negative note of your posts."

Orange : "Eveglori (#2775) absolutely not saying i'm more entitled but I do think players should be able to ask question. Your name calling and continued personal attacks on me seems unprofessional."

I wasn't going to copy and paste your entire post but like I said, if you want to play semantics I will be sure to be more clear.

Im not angry or disappointed at you, Im shocked. I think this will disappoint others and I think it makes you look very self righteous and unwilling to admit fault where fault was made.

"All I'm really taking from this is that you are angry and disappointed in me for misunderstanding an incomplete post, and that in the apparent context of it being a whole and complete statement (as one expects of a posted message) it sounded accusatory towards the site, and a large number of it's players. Along with this, you have spent several messages berating me for having taken it out of context (which you insinuated was perfectly clear from the original post), , and now you are stating that you had not been able to include the context that the post should have been taken in." - Eveglori
I NEVER said my original post was not unclear.

"And again, I said that by repeatedly stating that you had paid large sums of money to further your enjoyment of the site in conjunction with your argument that you have a right to an answer could make you seem entitled. I have not, at any point, pointed to you and said that you are an entitled person - only you have stated that I have done as such." - Eveglori
Im not sure how else you meant this post to say except how it is said, as I went on to say I think EVERY player, who has been able to contribute or not should be answered when they have questions.

Eveglori : "Orange (#52359) - I am very glad that you love Aywas enough to put money into furthering that enjoyment, but you should be aware that mentioning this in every post is only serving to make you sound as though you feel more entitled to have your voice heard than other members. This naturally rubs people the wrong way, as does levelling accusations towards people (whether it was accidental poor wording or intentional), and will likely be why people have taken negative note of your posts." - Eveglori
I did not just pull this out of nowhere Eveglori, it had a basis.

Nothing you can say changes the fact I asked a general question, not to you, and whether it sounded accusatory or not you responded in an insulting derogatory manner. This was wrong and unjustified.

If anything low digit numbers have a harder time then higher digits. Example if a number between 1-100 more often than not it will go to the middle than the lower or higher end.

And for someone to say low digits get handed stuff, I take great offense to that, I work hard for my stuff, so how dare you.

Yusei + Scara (#76) That was referring to another contest not the current one -_- Im sorry you take offense to this but like eveglori you took it out of context.

That was talking about the teo contest that was hosted on the threads where there appeared to be a priority queue into how the posts were organized. This would be how most forums work, not intentional cheating or bias or anything like that.

A RNG is a completely different animal than a priority queue. This was a specific event with a specific reason that many people felt it was unfair.

Which contest?

First event: Adoption center, basically first to adopt got one
Second I believe was a ticket which cost 100 USD
Third Teo eggs was adventuring
fourth Black friday, again USD, how did low digits get a better chance?

A lot of people seem to take what you said out of content, which means that you should rethink your posts. If your finger is cramping so bad you just hit the button, perhaps you should wait to hit the button so you can reread. Quite a few people have misunderstood what you said, myself included. You claim several times it was a question, but it was phrased as a statement, not a question, and you never once mentioned programming so even if people realized your statement was a question, it could have been a question about anything under the sun. There was never once a priority que, and where you got your information from regarding that confuses me, you are making assumptions based upon your previous experiences offsite.

People, please stop fighting. ;-; Just accept that SOMETHING went wrong in the conversation, and literally EVERYONE APOLOGIZED in some respect, so let's all relax and move on. e- e

You made a statement - which you first stated was reacted to out of context, then stated it was improperly punctuated and was intended to be a question, and then you stated that it was a statement which was intended to precede a continuation wherein you would have supplied context to the statement. You insist that - while admitting that your statement was flawed in it's delivery - the statement however was perfectly clear in it's intent.

I disagree. Many others also disagree.

However at this point that doesn't matter. I admitted that I should have not have called you a killjoy, regardless of how I interpreted your statement, and that it is fair you are disappointed I would have said such a thing.

I will not, however, apologise for taking an incomplete post with ambiguous context to mean what I believed it to mean. I'm sorry that bothers you, but as you have stated, you made an incomplete post with incorrect punctuation. Without a complete picture it was impossible for me to ascertain what it was you were intending, despite your repeated insistence that I should have been able to know exactly what you were trying to say.

At this point you're walking us in circles because we have nothing new to say to each other.
