Teo Eggs

Site Update

We've finally figured out what we want to do with Teo Eggs! Like we said before, we decided that a random event was going to determine the owners of Teo Eggs (as opposed to breeding and adoption center stalking, as then everyone could have a chance).

To prevent people from auto-refreshing or cheating to get Teos, which was our main issue with them being a pure chance random event considering it'd cause a lot of lag, we decided that one teo egg will be given out by the site at 6:00 PM every day. All you have to do is be online at that time and the script could randomly choose you to send the Teo Egg event to.

Good luck! There are sixty five Teo sitting in the queue right now so a new one will go out at 6:00 PM for quite a while, and we'll restock them as needed.

Woah, who let the Drama Llama loose? I don't even have a single Teo. Still not complaining.

Ryu (#3998) Maybe not random but rotation, move it forward or backwards an hour each day so everyone definitely gets a chance

I'd also like the drops to be more random if possible. :3

Orange (#52359) if I may add in my two cents just for future reference: to me the difference between your post and a question is punctuation. With a question mark it could be a question, without it, not so much?

Hikora (#7024) you are aware that staff covers several timezones, right? We have admins and mods from africa & europe (myself included), and also had staff from australia/NZ. n_n

/off for bed now because 2am heck yeah

» Vampi « (#12221) i suppose a question mark can be as important as commas.

Orange (#52359) - Users can ask questions, but if they take a certain tone then people will call it out. Also, as I said, your post came across as purposefully accusatory - though I have mentioned that perhaps it was unintentional, you have only insisted that I have taken it out of context. As stated by others, there was no other context to take it in as you didn't mention anything about it being to do with coding or being a programmer until after it was noted that your question was not only odd but inflammatory.
As for what Feeshy commented on, I and many others often lost out to newer IDs and often beat older IDs in tiebreak situations - it was seemingly random how it would choose who would place before the other. I can see how for those who lost to an older ID it seemed purposeful, especially if it happened frequently. If it was weighted in that manner it never did me any good as an older ID or a staff member.
Had you framed your question to address this in the first instance there would have been nothing to misunderstand. I'm sorry that you feel attacked, but I haven't been rude to you, or called you names. I merely tried to explain why you are getting negative responses to your posts from multiple people.

Orange (#52359) ~~ I believe the script used is a RNG, plucks a number, and that's that. No need to worry about who beats what. :) ~~ I can guess fairly well exactly how it probably works, but I've never thought it was important. What I see as important is that everyone enjoy themselves. ~~ And all this talk about timing - I am sure that the admin will find a good workable solution so that the other side of the world also has a nice chance, too. Give the admin and coders time to wriggle out the wrinkles. Please, that goes to all of you, give them time, please.

Eveglori (#2775) Online a grammar mistake or "out of context" question can obviously be taken in a very wrong way, especially if you do not understand or are uncertain of what I was talking about.
Explaining to me why I got negative responses would have been like a player on here did in a private message. So for her I say XD
Calling someone names("killjoy") and telling them they are acting entitled is fairly clear though. You were agitated by the situation and took it out on someone.

If you had asked what I meant instead of attacking me I would have simply explained.

~Sunny (#41814) Im sure a RNG is exactly what is being used in this event, totally makes sense, that question was in reference to another event :)
I agree a few kinks but overall the event seem to go smoothly today! Aywas didn't even crash XD
