Teo Eggs

Site Update

We've finally figured out what we want to do with Teo Eggs! Like we said before, we decided that a random event was going to determine the owners of Teo Eggs (as opposed to breeding and adoption center stalking, as then everyone could have a chance).

To prevent people from auto-refreshing or cheating to get Teos, which was our main issue with them being a pure chance random event considering it'd cause a lot of lag, we decided that one teo egg will be given out by the site at 6:00 PM every day. All you have to do is be online at that time and the script could randomly choose you to send the Teo Egg event to.

Good luck! There are sixty five Teo sitting in the queue right now so a new one will go out at 6:00 PM for quite a while, and we'll restock them as needed.

Yusei + Scara (#76) The adoption center event crashed the website, they changed it part of the way through to a thread hosted giveaway where the first person who posted at a specific time got a Teo. This is a programming question that was meant for a programmer, to see what sort of queue system, if any would be in place.

Thats how low numbers seemingly had a better chance.

Kaiyo (#489) Maybe people should ask instead of assuming. As I said earlier, grammar saves lives, a missed question mark does not justify a response.
My finger cramp is because my finger was nearly severed by a dog bite, the end of my finger has severe pain and doesn't work right, sorry my finger slipped.
All forums have to have a priority queue of some kind or they would crash. Thats just the way it works, you would get a runtime error and things would start going "boom" as my professor says.

If you actually saw my second post you would see I answered that part, and Im not sure a random user can ask and be entitled to how aywas is programed.

Because a low number can post better than a higher number?

Yusei + Scara (#76) I made no comments to you - i didn't tag you - i don't really care to continue to debate programming with people who don't know what I mean I'm tired of re-explaining myself. Asking how a contest would work does seem legitimate but maybe thats just me :)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Priority_queue

That explains a priority queue, but in essence we click a button at the same time, the computer MUST process someone first, there is simply no way around it, the default way to do this is for the lower number to go first.

"You made a statement - which you first stated was reacted to out of context, then stated it was improperly punctuated and was intended to be a question, and then you stated that it was a statement which was intended to precede a continuation wherein you would have supplied context to the statement. You insist that - while admitting that your statement was flawed in it's delivery - the statement however was perfectly clear in it's intent.
I disagree. Many others also disagree.

However at this point that doesn't matter. I admitted that I should have not have called you a killjoy, regardless of how I interpreted your statement, and that it is fair you are disappointed I would have said such a thing.

I will not, however, apologise for taking an incomplete post with ambiguous context to mean what I believed it to mean. I'm sorry that bothers you, but as you have stated, you made an incomplete post with incorrect punctuation. Without a complete picture it was impossible for me to ascertain what it was you were intending, despite your repeated insistence that I should have been able to know exactly what you were trying to say.

At this point you're walking us in circles because we have nothing new to say to each other." - Eveglori

So we are back to accusing? It was going to be a longer post, I stopped due to my injury and I hit a period instead of question mark when I ended it. thats not a circle, thats a straight line.

Like I've said, my original post was unclear, and you COULD have asked for clarification but CHOSE to attack.
Im not walking in circles, you are, you can not defend unjustified actions and I understand that must be frustrating but don't blame me for it. There was not an apology nor mention of one made until your last post.

There is no reason for a staff member to attack a player, not ever, and that is just a fact. Im sure most would agree.

Thats the beauty of news comments, anyone can post and answer anyone else, just like forums, the are both PUBLIC places. Shocking, I know.

Maybe you two should take your discussion to PMs? This has reached 21 pages of back and forth. I don't mean this snarkily, I really don't, I just think it might be a better idea.

Yusei + Scara (#76) did you see the link? It explains what I was trying to say :)
People can also say... chose not to respond.

Semi-Hiatus (#48591) I don't feel comfortable with this not being in the public eye at this point, its gotten to attackful with to many people involved but I do respect what your saying. Seenig several staff members act in such a way has been rather shocking and it just feel safer here.

Good lord I'm accusing nothing - I'm stating as a fact that you yourself have said it was incomplete to people, yet tell me I am in the wrong for misunderstanding it because it was "clear" and "complete". I apologised for calling you a killjoy, I genuinely don't know what else you want from this and yet you keep tagging me and pulling me back in.

#48591 I would except I genuinely have nothing to say to this person that I haven't already, and they are repeating the same things tirelessly also. I - like so many others who are about ready to reach through their screen and throttle me - would like this to just be done. We aren't going to agree because they fundamentally disagree that their comment in any way was able to be misinterpreted, despite multiple people stating that it was.

" You insist that - while admitting that your statement was flawed in it's delivery - the statement however was perfectly clear in it's intent."

This has never been said by me! Not once, Like I've said, my original post was UNCLEAR, and you COULD have asked for clarification but CHOSE to attack.

If you stop saying I have said things that I have not, stop trying to make it look as though I gave you some sort of justification to your response there won't be any more tags.

I did not see or take note of an apology before your last post. Apology accepted and thank you. Apologies go a long way with me.
