Teo Eggs

Site Update

We've finally figured out what we want to do with Teo Eggs! Like we said before, we decided that a random event was going to determine the owners of Teo Eggs (as opposed to breeding and adoption center stalking, as then everyone could have a chance).

To prevent people from auto-refreshing or cheating to get Teos, which was our main issue with them being a pure chance random event considering it'd cause a lot of lag, we decided that one teo egg will be given out by the site at 6:00 PM every day. All you have to do is be online at that time and the script could randomly choose you to send the Teo Egg event to.

Good luck! There are sixty five Teo sitting in the queue right now so a new one will go out at 6:00 PM for quite a while, and we'll restock them as needed.

Orange (#52359) Your comment didn't sit right with me either.
Sounded like a passive aggressive attack on people who God forbid have played longer than you. Being an older player doesn't entitle us to great benefits, you know. We work just as hard for what we have.

Actually, it doesn't. You just have rights to getting the stuff they say your money is for. you know, gp, usd items, premium service for so many months, so on.
You're not buying shares in the company. Quit confusing the two.

Orange (#52359) - The accusatory tone was unneeded; asking if it's programmed to account for all active accounts equally is a neutrally toned and fair question without having to bring in how much you have spent on enjoying the site, or insinuating that staff and lower IDs have any advantage over other users. Your post was intended as an an accusation levelled towards the site, and if it wasn't then it certainly read like it and you should probably be more careful about how your posts come across.

Frid (#28513) Thank you Frid for speaking to me about this and your right. I wasn't upset at all though. I am a programmer and I was just asking a question to do with that. I have contributed into the thousands of $ to this site and thought i could ask a technical question with out being called names but I guess not. I see many comments with players fussing about the drop time but yet none of them were singled out and called names.

Kat & Luna (#51636) Sadly I can't say that's very good marketing. Aywas is a business. And for it to sell, it need to retain their customers (users). Unhappy users - low income. Therefore they should try their best to make everyone happy (Which they do! I love Aywas staff!) And this count towards any pet site, or any sort of business. "The customer is always right" - typical phrase.

You have 29 teos. I'm lower ID than you and I merely have 7. There are other players who may have more or less.

It doesn't mean they aren't worthy of consideration. Staff should be given consideration for the hard work they put in on this site, to make this a site that is a wonderful place to come to. They don't "automatically" get perks just because they're staff. They have to work for those perks, TOO. Even Flash.

I applaud you for having managed to get so many teos. I'm sure that took a lot of work and time. :)

Just please be considerate of people. Not everyone can pour thousands of dollars into the site. :)

Merry Holidays!

Eveglori (#2775) it absolutely was not meant as an accusation but thanks. If you are a programmer then you would understand that the nature of the question and why the question was not accusatory but relevant. priority stacks and Queues and be very complex. I am stunned at the personal attack I received over a programming question.

If the staff really wanted to be fair they would not favor people living in the american timezone. But they do. Maby its too inconvinient for them to be fair to everyone. :(
Why not release one teo egg at a random time in 24 hours intervalls? Even if its in the middle of the night for america. That would be fair, if its completely randomized and not just at convinient times for the staff.

I think that perhaps they were referencing some event in the past where if two people did something at the exact same time, the lower ID# was the one that would get it? I don't know the details, I just remember hearing something like that?

:c Either way, I'm happy for the effort staff puts into the site, and the donations that keep the site running ^-^' I'm a shameless freeloader myself and completely lack the ability to keep the site running.

I hope this continues to be a positive thing, instead of turning into something staff doesn't want to do due to complaints about time and such :c!
