We've finally figured out what we want to do with Teo Eggs! Like we said before, we decided that a random event was going to determine the owners of Teo Eggs (as opposed to breeding and adoption center stalking, as then everyone could have a chance).
To prevent people from auto-refreshing or cheating to get Teos, which was our main issue with them being a pure chance random event considering it'd cause a lot of lag, we decided that one teo egg will be given out by the site at 6:00 PM every day. All you have to do is be online at that time and the script could randomly choose you to send the Teo Egg event to.
Good luck! There are sixty five Teo sitting in the queue right now so a new one will go out at 6:00 PM for quite a while, and we'll restock them as needed.

I'm also all in for a rotating time. I'm usually at work around that time - and I would also like a fair chance for people in other time zones to get one as well.

Passed out at 6pm to anyone who had been on that day wouldn't be a bad thing I think - it would solve most of the problems - both the time zone issue and the choke of a ton of people scrambling to be online - though I think the idea is still a good one with some tweaking.
I think they found a decent solution to the stocking thing, it just needs a bit of an addition for the overseas people. (6pm actually works quite well for me so I'm not saying this out of personal issue with it but I am not the only one who will be wanting these, and I definitely value fairness in releases :)

Yes please on rotating times- because, once again, Aywas has forgotten it has members outside of the US. And a substantial number of them. I can stay up until Midnight every night, but for many its even later than midnight in their timezone, or they simply cannot. The idea was, no doubt, a fair chance for all... but its not a fair chance if a good portion of the site are simply unable to participate because (again) you did not consider them.

Seconding the need for more times. It's the middle of the night on one side of the world and during the typical work day for half the U.S. 6 pm is a perfectly good time for me but it isn't for many.
Also wanting clarification - what exactly does it mean to "be online at that time"? Does it mean actively clicking on something, or just logged in with a window open? What if I open up the site in the morning and just let it sit all day?

really excited to find a new teo for my small collection ^_^
Also Those who are worried about time Id say they are seeing how well 6 pm gose today & work on a Later version That could randomly select a random hour every day to Give out a random teo to some one. Programming something to Pick random times to put something in Will probably take a bit longer then a straight up set time.
I love the teo idea & the suggestions :)
Random time program would be good so that it will encourage people to play more often Never knowing when it may Pop up for them Also so that Other time zones will be hit at a practical time for them as well. And i do agree a set time will Most likly cause a massive lag spike .. But i hope not ^_^

I can only second what has been said so far. random times for more fairness PLEASE.
Until then I guess I have to choose between a teo and my job ( for wich I have to stand up at 5AM in the morning
&PM aywas time is 1AM for me,... so.
sorry, but I think i prefere keeping my job. )

On a second thought knowing the time makes it more fair than random times though - because if it were random you may never know if you were just unlucky for the day, or if you just happened to log off 15 minutes before your shot COULD have come and didn't know it*
But even just 6am and 6pm would probably be fair enough. Or rotate every other day - Monday, wednsday, friday - 6am: tuesday, thursday, Saturday - 6pm Sundays maybe do both XP
BY FAR It wouldn't even be the most convoluted complicated thing on here, so that might work best
that way there's a chance for both sides of the pond, AND it only releases one per day (or for super nice things sundays) and also people know when they must be online to have their chance for the day keeping everything out in the air

I highly support the suggested options of different times to appreciate people who aren't living in america and the just giving a Teo out at 6pm to a random user who has signed in on the day.

I don't think changing it so the eggs were given out at random times or so there were more times added that would better suit non-U.S. time zones would cause a problem. Coming from someone who is an at incredible advantage because I live in the same timezone as Aywas (and from someone who loves teos and would love to have a decent chance at getting one), I think it's MORE than reasonable and fair to offer more opportunities besides just once a day at 6 pm, which is an awful time for a -lot- of the site. Even if it were offered at 6 am and 6 pm it would be a lot more fair than just offering it at 6 pm, though I would support random times as well. =)
