With the power of a Slashbot, Aros (#4353) has unlocked a strange, deep part of the Arctic... and a battle between forces of nature--Deer vs. Wolves!

Hooves Gift Bag | Paws Gift Bag
Each gift bag contains a potion, fact book, fauna, Forest Spirit, and unlocks a team forum title.
The potion, fact book, and fauna are determined by your team.
Here's how the event will work!
- First, you must choose a team! You can join a team at any time during the event.
- Your mission is to collect Forest Spirits for your team leader. They will be converted into points that will be redeemable in the Seasonal Shop, so you'll want to make sure your Adventurer doesn't have butter paws or hooves!
- Where do you find Forest Spirits? The Hunting Grounds, of course!
- Oh, and did I mention there's lots of other pets and items to collect?
Note: You can collect Forest Spirits before choosing a team, but you can't turn them in for event points until you select either Hooves/Deer or Paws/Wolves.
*Deer vs. Wolf Battle Timeline
- From now until September 4th at 11:59 p.m., you may collect Forest Spirits, but cannot yet turn them in.
- All day on September 5th, you are racing against the other team to collect and turn in Forest Spirits! This is a 24-hour battle, and the winning team will determine what SCC base gets released into the Seasonal Shop! (Note: The SCC base is not in this post--the deer and wolf images are monsters.)
- Once the 24-hour battle is over, you can still collect and turn in Forest Spirits, but they'll just count for your personal score, and won't contribute to the overall team score.
Remember, if you want to participate, the team battle is all day on September 5th.
The Seasonal Shop will open on September 6th.
Hunting Grounds, Forest Spirit turn-ins, and the Seasonal Shop will be open through September 10th at 11:59 p.m.
We will be adding plenty more pets to the Hunting Grounds, and Aros has some special contests up her sleeve! Stay tuned. :3
*These cuties are collectables right now but will be turned into fauna after the event ends.
Oh! And on behalf of all wolves and deer everywhere, Happy Birthday, Aros!

Collab Crazy Wrap-Up
I'm sure most of you remember the Collab Crazy Event back in May/June. I've rounded up all the files I could get my hands on and stored them in my Dropbox, over here. They're broken up by species for easier viewing.

An important note about submitting these designs. When the event was conceived and run, I was not involved in any way, being a mere modlet with little care but for modly things like user issues and moving threads. There was no checking done to make sure designs fit the criteria of 50%. In my opinion it's //way// too late to go back and try and fix this, so any and all designs that were made for Collab Crazy have been, and will continue to be, accepted with Collab Crayons, carte blanche. (Still no edits though.)
Some of the folks who made these designs were kind enough to offer them up to the general public as well, to be submitted with regular crystals and orbs - for the most part this works out just fine.
If you were sensing a "but" coming, you'd be correct.
A few of the designs created aren't Blue, they may be Bronze or Gold. Just because a design came from Collab Crazy doesn't automatically make it Blue, though the vast majority are. I've gone through the very fine thread created by Dreyja over Here - called the Collab Artist Permission Thread, and provided edit percentages for every design that was posted up as available to use. Hopefully this makes it easier for those seeking to use the available designs.

Rock Custom Crystal

The Rock Custom Crystal is now stocking in the BP Shop for 8,000,000 BP. It allows you to upload an unedited silver pet designated for the Rock Custom Crystal at the time, which is the below:

You may hoard Rock Custom Crystals for future bases. The above base will retire on November 1, before which a second base will be polled. The previous sketches will be included along with a brand new third sketch so you will always have the possibility of having one of those old favorites.

Metal Design Ticket

The Metal Design Ticket, a BP Shop item, is debuting faster than its more powerful counterpart.
The catch is that this is a short sale restocking item. It will restock in the BP Shop for 3,000,000 BP on the following date:
2:00 PM - 2:05 PM
September 3rd
For those five minutes, it will be unlimited. After the five minute mark is reached, the item will be removed so that the queue can be handled. When the queue for it is cleared, another announcement for its restock will be posted.
The artist list for this item is on this thread, and you may apply for the team if interested on this thread.

For those of you who are newer to the Aywas community, I will let you in on a not-so-kept secret: October is one of Aywas' biggest months! This October will mark Aywas' 4th birthday, and we know how to throw a pretty good bash. Stay tuned for Halloween/October holiday submission threads. *wink*
Reminder: The Nova custom items have cycled back into the Premium Outlet where they will remain for the month of September, then return to the BP/GP Shops for October and November.
Don't forget that the Raffi is our resident raw pet until mid-month! If you haven't turned your Raffi designs into customs yet, you have about two weeks to do so.
Coding Corner
As you already know, lairs are undergoing some work to enable them to better handle the amount of pets us crazy hoarders have accumulated! Additionally, we're working on making our existing features more intuitive and are also addressing one of the biggest issues for new and old users alike--accessing accurate information. Staff has been working on creating a Knowledge Base that we're hoping to release soon; it's essentially an on-site searchable encyclopedia that answers our most common questions, offers guidance and general game information. Best of all, it's in one centralized location!
There's going to be a lot going on over the next few months, so get ready for a fun ride!
