Our PayPal script has been fixed! It's working properly again :)
You jingle the balloon around. There's something inside...
Balloons have floated their way into the GP Shop! Each balloon opens up into a random item. The Blue Balloon opens into a random item of any rarity, the Gold Balloon opens into a random item rarity 8+, and the Silver Balloon opens into a random item rarity AD.
The prices were based on their counterparts, the Ghost Chocolates and Lotus Eggs, so hopefully they're suitable!
There are some exclusions from the item pool that these draw upon. First, they cannot yield a Slashbot, Platinum Breeding Pendant, Lesser Breeding Pendant, Favor From Tak, or Santa's Bag. They also don't yield non-items from the Salon (like non-equip hairs) or private user items with specific ownership. Everything else is fair game, though!
To celebrate the balloons and fixing the finicky PayPal script, you'll get a bonus balloon with every GP Purchase! $10.00 yields a Blue, $20.00 yields a Gold, and $30.00 yields a Silver. This offer is valid for one week!

Adventure Updates

Some updates on the adventure front!
- EXP Tweak: Monsters give you 60% more EXP than they did before.
- HP Nerf: Monsters have 40% less HP than they did before.
- Loot Drops: Monsters have a 30% chance of dropping loot when you kill them.
- Keys: Treasure Chest Keys now drop in all regions.
- Attack Potion, Toughness Potion, Pinwheel Candy, and Hunger Stone properly affect adventure stats.
- Items can be removed from Picnic Baskets.
- Book of Regeneration and Aynip no longer call last year's seasonal pets in the Spooky Forest.

Uh oh! Our PayPal script seems to be acting up a bit, so if you buy some and it doesn't show up in a timely manner, never fear. It'll be fixed as soon as our programmer comes online!

Assignment Timestamp

Breedings now display when it was assigned to an artist:
If the breeding is reassigned, the timestamp will reset back to 0, and you'll know it was reassigned that way.
(Don't mind that my test MBC pair is a bit... poorly chosen.)

Staff Changes!

Aetheria & Rage (#46) have been bewitched by a creature known as "real life" and will be departing from their beloved posts on our staff team. Please wish them well, and pass along any survival tips you may have!
Seriously though, I would like to formally thank both of you for your dedication, your help, the laughs, and for putting up with all of us (especially me :D). You've both left a strong mark on Aywas, and we will miss you dearly. <3 Don't be strangers!
With Aeth and Rage stepping down, we had some shoes to fill, and have had a few people in training already as preparation for this transition.
Eveglori (#2775) has been promoted to administrator and will be leading Copyright, but her inbox is always open for any issue you may have. She has a lot of ideas and is a very hard worker, so we anticipate good things on the horizon. Be on the lookout for a news post from her soon!
Assisting Eve will be Hiiro (#755), who has been added to our team as a moderator. In addition to lending her Copyright department services, you can contact her with general inquiries as well, but don't overwhelm her too much just yet. (We'd like to keep her around.)
Vampi (#12221) has also been promoted to administrator and she will be overseeing the Platinum Breeding process. Vampi already has PBC experience and is anxious to get cracking! As always, her inbox is open and welcoming for general assistance as well.
Aeth & Rage will still be blue for a few days to wrap things up on their end, and I'm sure they'll still be friendly faces on the forums. :3
Good luck to Aeth and Rage with whatever that real life thing is, and break a leg to Eve, Hiiro, and Vampi!

The Next Ay Star! Voting

It's time to vote for which pet concept* will be turned into our next Ay area pet!
Staff put together a shortlist from your amazing ideas, and now we are asking you to choose your favorite from the finalists in honor of our anniversary month!
There's a few things to keep in mind when voting:
- This will be a Common Ay pet, so it will be creatable with crystals.
- The pet will be eligible to create hybrids.
- *The design is a concept. Our pet artist, Kuitsuku, will be doing the pet in her style to ensure it fits with our other pets, but will obviously be basing it on the concept.
And, of course, choose which one you would love to fill your lair with!
We are accepting votes through October 20th at 11:59 p.m.
Good luck narrowing it down!

You can use any medium for this, including actual candy/tangible materials or do a digital rendering.
For this theme, you can design a candy treat, the candy's wrapper, or both (preferably both!).
As always, keep it Aywas-related and make sure your name and ID is on the entry (if it's something you take a photograph of, make sure your name/ID is visible in the photograph somewhere, not added with photoshop).
Good luck! As a chocolate/candy addict, I can't wait to see what you guys come up with for this one. :)
