The Mythical Panther - Although you hear the name a lot, there is no panther nor has their ever been one. It is a name referring to leapords. A black panther is really a black leapord.

Male lions, housecats, and other felines have penises with spines on them that point backwards, so when they mate, it causes the female pain, which scientists think is to induce ovulation. Painful sex. o_o (And God, when housecats go at it... >.>)

All tigers have a similar marking on their forehead,which resembles the Chinese symbol Wang, meaning King. They are royal alright.

Until recently (and like what a lot of people are posting XD), it was unknown that big cats such as lions, tigers, and jaguars can purr.

Wow, ok people have already said that. Um...

Unlike any other big cat Cheetah's cannot roar, but they can purr. And unlike any other big cat they chirp. :3
