"Cats can either roar or purr but they can't do both. The four main big cats the lion, tiger, leopard and jaguar have specially adapted larynxes which enable them to roar (but they cannot purr); the lion has the longest larynx, which means it can produce the loudest roar. Cats that can't roar are always able to purr. " quoted from ~https://uktv.co.uk/eden/stepbystep/aid/588044

I thought it was pretty neat.

Through the magic of horrible inbreeding, the range of tiger colors are widening every year. Orange, white, ghost, golden tiger - soon, they'll probably breed a funky-jawed maltese tiger, and proclaim it to be Progress. Most white tigers are so deformed that they are killed or abandoned by the breeders. Oh wait, I forgot, I'm supposed to think they're majestic and cool. :I

Cheetah cubs are suckled for 2 to 3 months but begin to eat meat as early as 3 weeks. Talk about survival skills, if the food is running low (or the kills are getting stolen too often) and the momma can't produce enough milk the babehz can complement their diet with meat. :3

Clouded leopards use their long tails to run HEAD FIRST down trees. Which make them awesome. Duh.

Tigers can be taught to swim (in a zoo or other habitat) by throwing chunks of meat into the water. The article I read said:

Six years old, and at the prime of his life, Odin lives at the Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Zoo in Vallejo, near San Francisco. He is about 10ft long from nose to tail, and is an excellent swimmer.
