Male and females greet each other not with a handshake but with a rub, which sometimes becomes so vigorous that one gets knocked down in the process. The act is meant as a means of bonding, as lions leave scent markings on each other during the process, similar to how house cats rub up against their pet parents to demonstrate ownership. - My thoughts are dirty. -shifty eyes- And I don't want a Lion as a pet if it could injury me. o.o

Tigers are excellent swimmers and are in fact the only cat who seem to enjoy stepping in water! =)

In some lions, the tuft of their tail conceals a hard "spine" or "spur", approximately 5 mm long, formed of the final sections of tail bone fused together.
