The BP Sink is back!
For every 3,000,000 BP you donate to the BP Sink, you will gain a shiny new item: Heart of Crystal! This custom maker will allow you to make a colored (not edited) SCC from the BP Sink challenge. You'll find a variety of bases submitted by a bunch of artists, all with silhouetted images to hint at what you'll unlock next!
When the event ends, Heart of Crystal will be moved to the BP Shop at a higher price, so stock up on it while you can during the event!

Site Artist Perks

You may apply use examples of predictions you have created, or edited/coloured pets that you have made! Please ensure your examples are as recent as possible, and reflect your current art style. If you were on a breeding team before, please let us know when you apply!

Radioactive Breeding Coin

Key Points:
- Artists take lists in multiples of five (ie 5, 10, 15, etc). For every five breedings, one will roll a metal and four will be mutants!
- Deadline of 10 days per list.
Lesser Breeding Coin

Payment:
12 GP per baby
Key Points:
- This coin mixes the edits and markings of same-genus pets.
- There is no requirement to re-draw anything, but some skills with masking and separating PSDs will be helpful!
- Being able to work with PNG x PNG, or PNG x PSD is a plus! However, Kandria will work with you if you don't know how.
- Artists may take as many breedings as they like per list.
- Deadline of 10 days per list.
Blind Date / Eggnog
PM The Cavalry (#42995) to apply.
Payment:
30% offspring = 40 GP
50% offspring = 50 GP
75% offspring = 75 GP
Key Points:
- Artists will be drawing edits up to 75% on hybrids or other site species.
- Artists may take as many breedings as they like per list.

Painted Metal Breeding Coin

Our painted artists have been cleaning out the Painted Metal Breeding Coin queue to the point it's low enough for a small flash sale!
Today it will be stocking in the GP Shop randomly and in limited quantities.
There will be at least 4 restocks at random times today, starting with the first one being right now.
Unsold stock will stay until 3/24 @ 11:59:59 PM where it will automatically be removed if not sold.
As usual, they are still stocking in the USD shop, with no limit.
Enjoy the small flash sale, and thank our artists for their hard work!

Spring Festival & Mayday
Contests
The submission threads for the Spring Festival are now open in the Event forum! If you would like to submit any pets, items, or clothing pieces, you will have until 11:59 PM AST on April 9th to do so.
With spring around the corner, it's also almost that time of year again - the Mayday Sale! This year, the sale will run from May 18th to May 23rd. While we'll have more information for you in regards to the actual sale when it's not so far away, here's some crucial information for those who would like to participate by creating sets:
You may create a set from any of the Exotic Genera (Teo, Faux, Snoodle, or Oët). A set is 5 custom pets with identical edits, all colored uniquely. If your set is accepted, you are also permitted 1 semi-unique that you can turn in at that time or at a later date. All applications must be PM'd to Mayday Marie (#11) with the following subject line: Mayday 2023 - [email protected] - please replace the e-mail with your PayPal address. You must PM Mayday Marie (#11) with a sketch for for approval! Your sketches must be either 200px or 400px, and they should not be a screenshot of your canvas. If you send Marie a finished product without doing this first, we do not have to accept it. If you make more sets than the ones we approve you to do, we do not have to accept them. You must also send Mayday Marie (#11) examples of your shading and coloring, and if you have done any previous sets. Users may only submit 3 sketches at a time. If more are submitted you will be asked to choose 3 of them to be assessed. Additional sketches will not be assessed until accepted sketches are submitted as complete sets. There will be no exceptions. All sets should be between 50% - 75%. If your set is spectacular, we will accept less edits. We are allowing very few silvers! We will not be accepting a dozen Teos that only have the tails left. All PSDs must be breedable! This means separated edits, shading, highlights, coloring, etc. We will not accept pets that are unbreedable, and we will be checking PSDs. All sets must be finished and the PSDs uploaded by May 11th!
The payment options are as follows:
$50 paid after Mayday is over; you must sell at least one coloration of your set on Day 1 or Day 2 to be able to claim this option! 100 GP + 5 SP paid once the set is finished. No base pay, however you are granted a 75% unique of any of the exotic genera creatable this Mayday. (You are welcome to sell this slot as well, however you must do part of the artwork for it.) 1 Mayday Egg for the $50 Day. If you do two sets, then you can trade both payments in for 1 Mayday Egg for the first day!The sell out bonus will work the same as it has been: should your set sell out on day 1 (May 19th) you get a bonus of $75, day 2 (May 20th) is $50 and day 3 (May 21st) is $25.

The Flubelle is currently the active Raw genus, which means that you can purchase the Pride Flubelle in the BP Shop! It will remain the active genus until May, so be sure to make a note of this in case you wish to make any!

PSA : Art Theft
Rules
Due to an influx of art-theft issues, we wish to make an announcement of zero tolerance.
As per the Terms of Service:
"Users posting any form of content on Aywas.com accept responsibility for all liability for content they have posted. Users who steal art, writing, or otherwise claim the work of others will be permanently banned."
Examples of what we consider art theft to be:
- Tracing artwork and/or markings that are not 100% your own work
- Taking edits and/or markings from other users' pets and applying them to your pet without permission
- Heavily referencing photos, art, or other sources, so closely that when overlaid they look like they could have been traced
- Using "free" lines, art, and patterns from sources outside of Aywas
- Using "free" lines, art, or patterns that were not made for Aywas users
- Manipulating photos, or art, and then applying it to your pet
These rules apply to anything that is submitted for both personal use and site use, including but not limited to: Edit Repository, Site Coloration submissions, Item submissions, and Customs (both G1 customs made with a custom-making item and offspring via breedings).
The only allowed use of free material from sources outside Aywas are
listed in the KB.
Brushes that are "free use", including for commercial use and that clearly come from a reputable source may be used, but you still must disclose and give credit for those brushes. The only exceptions are default brushes in art programs such as, but not limited to, Photoshop, Sai, Gimp, Procreate, and so on, or brushes you hand-make yourself.
When in doubt, message a moderator with a link to your image/pattern/brush rules and they will let you know if you can use it.
If you have accidentally broken these rules, reach out to a moderator right away to resolve the issue.
We wish to make it clear that if staff finds you have broken the art theft rules and you did not come forward, you will be permanently banned.
Suspicious that someone might be using an image without permission? Contact a moderator with a link to the pet or thread and Staff will look into it.
Art theft is not only wrong, but it is also illegal, and puts the site in danger!

Winterheart Gala: Seasonal Shop

The Seasonal Shop for the Winterheart Gala is now open!
There's a handful of new pets for you to purchase, as well a numerous items - both old and new! The Cupcake Card can be sent to a user of your choice to show that you are thinking of them, while the Kissing Booth and Heartphones unlock the "Kissing in a Tree!" and "Music Lover" forum titles. There are also a few potions in stock for those who may have missed out on previously released Valentine pets!
The Token of Affection items have a new line set available to be created with them! Please meet the Heartfox! The Knowledge Base article has been updated to include it, should you need the PSD again at a later date.
The Seasonal Shop will remain open until 11:59 PM AST on March 4th. We hope that you all have received some Love Letters this year that have made you smile!

Winterheart Gala is Here

It's that time of the year when both love and snow are in the air! That's right - it's time for the Winterheart Gala!
For those new to this event, you will be able to gain points by sending Love Letters to other users! You can find Love Letters while in Adventure, or you can purchase them from the The Corner Store. Once you have a Love Letter in your inventory, you can send it to someone through your inventory, the Love Letters page, or via the button in a user's post on the forums or online list! The Love Letters page is also where you can enable and disable receiving Love Letters, so be sure to check that it's enabled before sending a few off! Please note that Love Letters cannot be sent to players who have not logged in within the past 24 hours.
You will receive one (1) point when sending a Love Letter to someone, and you will gain one (1) point when receiving a Love Letter - this means that swapping Love Letters with another user will net you both two (2) points! You will only gain a point the first time you send or receive a Love Letter to or from a particular user however. Points will be used as currency for the Seasonal Shop that will open later on in the month.
If you purchase a Handmade Love Letter from the BP Shop, you can send a more personalized letter through the Card Designer, though you will not receive points through these letters.
Remember, as with all events where we allow you to input your own message, you must follow the Terms of Service - this includes not using any language or images that would require an M (Mature) tag. If you receive a Love Letter that you feel breaks the rules, please report it to a member of staff.
