I know my last news post said there would be a slew of news from me over the weekend, however as you can gather things resumed their attempts to keep me from doing what I've promised!
The first fantastic news, though, is that the queues are officially all processed and empty, and ready to be filled again! I haven't tagged in Yasu to get us up and running again yet, but I plan to do that once this post has been made, so the queues will be open again very soon.
Which brings me to the mixed bag you're about to dive into...
Common Genus Holiday Makers
These items are a nice and cheap option to make some lovely pets, but with the fluctuation of rules loosening and tightening, no one really knows where they stand - including staff!
Due to this the decision to retire the Orange and Holiday Custom Crystals and Orbs has been made.
(The Coal and Silver Holiday items will be remaining active.)
But don't despair!
You will be able to trade them in for Blue Custom items - 1 will get you an unbreedable item, 5 will get you the breedable item. Exchanges will be set up in the Annoying Item Bazaar.
You also have until September 19th to upload any pets you want to attempt to put through the four common holiday queues, before the items are retired from custom making.
Cracked Nova Crystal Orb
People have asked about unbreedable Uncommon items for a while now, and we thought that instead of releasing four new items we would consolidate them into one super custom maker.
The Cracked Nova Crystal Orb can make an unbreedable custom of any Uncommon genus (excluding the Sevryn) that has 0-75% edits. It is now stocking in the SP Shop for 3 SP.
Genus Changing Amulet
Another user request has been that we create an Uncommon-to-Uncommon genus change item - but we thought that no one needs the hassle of another item when we have one that's perfectly fine as it is!
From today the Amulet will support both Common-to-Common AND Uncommon-to-Uncommon genus changes, within their own region (for example, you still won't be able to change a Drylis into a Melo, and you won't be able to change an Oakl into an Unus).
Vion Planter
Just when you think I'm done... Well, after this I am because I need a nap.
Do you have a gorgeous Vion that you just can't force to under 50%? Have you shaken your fist at the skies and cursed my name for it? Well, curse no longer!
The Vion Planter is a 75% Vion custom maker. It's not going to be an incredibly common item, much like the Bottled Celestial Stream, but we're giving you a head start on grabbing them with a 1 day release into the GP shop at an undisclosed time over the next two weeks.

It seems that the poor Cauldron Custom thread is as dusty, empty, and disappointing as a certain item I'm not mentioning...
We have some cute designs in there, but nowhere near enough for our needs!
Please know that if we don't get enough designs posted, we won't be able to host a cauldron this year. At this moment in time I'm keeping on top of things - the only reason it's slowed the last few hours is because I took an unexpected nap (never lay down for "a minute" unless you can risk not getting up for hours lol!) So yes, I'm hoping to get rejections processed as quickly as possible to give people a chance to put common holiday designs back in ASAP.

oops. i meant admin. because she recently(ish) became an admin. then got promoted to the manager thingy,. my bad xD;
I'll bump the pm I guess. I just figured while maybe the load might not get light that maybe it would at least need some time to get used to?? if that makes sense. but yeah, I'll bump it. idk why but i feel bad bumping things a lot hence me not doing it sooner. i have a guilt complex or something. i felt guilty publicly complaining too. it just feel like the easier thing to do at the time. uwu;;
and yeah, i'm not gonna lie either, i type a lot. sorry.. it's my curse. orz i'm very chatty lol. plus nervous/anxious. like,all the time. SUPER BAD (&& weird) COMBO lmao

Tequila Mockingbird (#64472) - Lol, no worries! You'd be surprised how often people think Kai is newer to staff than she is so you posed the opportunity to go "Well actually..." XD
Bumping a message to staff is never a problem when it's been a week, or if it's really time sensitive and it's been more than a day. You'd be surprised how often we'll have everything queued up to work on, something will happen, and then you lose the PM/thread - and it's always, always, better to do it than try to get our attention on a news post or forum (it's highly unlikely we'll see unless a mod alerts us), or go to another staff member (when you have three mods working the same issue and then going "wait you're doing this too?" as you can imagine is huugely frustrating XD;;)
As for typing a lot... Aye *laughs* I understand why you do it, but brevity can be your friend sometimes <3 In a sea of things to respond to, being able to understand what's needed in a few succinct sentences is really helpful for us - it enables us to help more people in a shorter space of time ^^

Also weighing in as unhappy about the short window available to make holiday customs. :/ If I'd seen this when it was first posted, I might BARELY have had time to commission someone to color, but now I definitely can't. I guess that's all my holiday edit ideas down the drain. I really wish this had waited until after the holidays, I was just starting to plan for Halloween.
Cracked nova orb is a neat idea, I guess, but it's so difficult to get SP, I can't foresee ever using one; it only costs a few GP more to get a breedable nova maker, with the exchange rate.
I guess I'm just disappointed to see the cheapest custom makers go. I guess it'll have to be cracked orbs and tokens if I want to gift a custom maker. :/

Eve Eve (#2775) Clarification on the September 19th deadline for Holiday Customs will we have all day tomorrow and the last send in has to be before 11:59pm on that day or are the items going to be disable in the AM hours on the 19th. I have a class tomorrow and some assignments tonight to take care that sadly take top priority (I can’t skip it or it will hurt my grade pretty badly) or I would scramble to do the holiday Customs, though I do wish we had more time.
