Update on Chargeback Situation

Site Update

Due to our inability to find a favorable result with Amazon Payments, we have decided to remove our option to pay with Amazon Payments for the USD Shop and GP Purchases. We will only be taking PayPal until further notice, including with the USD Auction.

Unfortunately, with this situation, all payments being sent there are immediately being taken from us, which leaves us unable to pay artists for the items you purchase. This is unacceptable, and thus we will only be taking PayPal until the situation is fully resolved.

EDIT: We can offer manual processing of transactions through Square to those who cannot or do not want to use PayPal. To read more about this option, please visit the knowledge base.

Please remember that you can help us out with this situation by going to the Special Cash Auctions. Some of the pets will be ending tomorrow!

We will invoice all the winners when all pets' auctions have expired. The auctions will be completely over on Thu May 14, 2015 7:33pm. Be sure to get in any last minute bids!

No! Dammit.
Ok, first off, yay that it seems the site is doing well despite this little..... fiasco. But... but dammit. That was the only way I could buy GP. DX Pleasepleaseplease look into another method. I can't connect my credit card to paypal because they're being jerks [lol]. So... yeah.

Yay that everything is working out in the end though =D

Sounds horrible- but is there any way we can do gift card codes, or mailing you checks? Checks are really hard to cash without being the recipient, and are also a pain in the tail to chargeback.

I know I personally have a hate/hate relationship with paypal, and paypal also has a hate/hate relationship with MANY countries that get fully excluded from their service.

I know it's a USA centric option, but would https://www.openbucks.com/ be at ALL an option?

No chargebacks possible at least?

★Luna★kiri★ (#323) can you connect your bank account? Or only use a CC (over debit/bank) on purchases here? I know that since my account is attached it doesn't matter if I pick direct from my account or from the debit. Hopefully another payment method can be found.

★Luna★kiri★ (#323) I'll sign up for square. You should be able to pay an invoice through that. It's a popular mobile credit card processor but it can be used to send invoices too.

Er and I hate to ask, but where does that leave people who had set up amazon payments for their bids in the usd auctions? Can they maybe get the option of snailmail just specifically for this if they can't use PP?

Erithan (#49253) I'll look into that. Haven't... actually tried. Lol.

J.A.K. (#15) I hope it works, and I don't mean for me. I mean for the entirety of the site. Like... hopefully it's not something that takes way more from you for each payment through that it's just not worth it and such.

Oh god, ★Luna★kiri★ (#323) DO NOT, I repeat NEVER give paypal your bank account unless you are a seller!!!!

Oh holy heck NO!
I've had paypal force payments I did via credit card over to my bank account, costing me over 2k in fees from the bank so far, and I can NOT remove the bank account without giving them another, it's a NIGHTMARE.

Do not not not not do this, people! D: D: D: D: D: D: D:

★Luna★kiri★ (#323) I don't know how it works now as far as signing up, but I know waaaay back in the time of original ebay/PP/when they were nice, you initially attached your bank account, they ran the usual "check" with charging a buck and refunding it, but from there you could pay "straight from account", and if it's the same as your debit(and CC if you have the combo type), you could pick since it would all come form the same account. Pm me perhaps I can help?

Signed up and no problems getting everything plugged in (tax info, bank acct, etc). Looks like Square is going to be a good backup processor. Only problem is we can't integrate it with the GP / USD Shop for automatic payments, but if you can't or don't want to use PayPal I can process these manually for you.
