Update on Chargeback Situation

Site Update

Due to our inability to find a favorable result with Amazon Payments, we have decided to remove our option to pay with Amazon Payments for the USD Shop and GP Purchases. We will only be taking PayPal until further notice, including with the USD Auction.

Unfortunately, with this situation, all payments being sent there are immediately being taken from us, which leaves us unable to pay artists for the items you purchase. This is unacceptable, and thus we will only be taking PayPal until the situation is fully resolved.

EDIT: We can offer manual processing of transactions through Square to those who cannot or do not want to use PayPal. To read more about this option, please visit the knowledge base.

Please remember that you can help us out with this situation by going to the Special Cash Auctions. Some of the pets will be ending tomorrow!

We will invoice all the winners when all pets' auctions have expired. The auctions will be completely over on Thu May 14, 2015 7:33pm. Be sure to get in any last minute bids!

Biolume ☆ミ (#1339) It was the sarcastic "Magically" and the "Soooooo" at the end, as well as stating that if I "didn't let them overdraft me" ...
Seriously, you REALLY think a grown adult doesn't try to talk to the bank and set that up the very FIRST time it happens??

So yes, I had EVERY right to be upset, that was NOT cool.

Watch your wording/sarcasm if you don't want people upset. I understand having bad wording, but I also understand that when I do decide to be sarcastic and abrasive, and phrase things like that, I can and DO get popped in the mouth. Metaphorically or physically.

Sean&Katje (#55980) I wish to heck my bank would let me do that- they say there is no way to remove it, and all their accounts come with it mandatory. D:

Fannish (FreeFlier) (#1818) Ouch! That is not a very nice bank. lol Overdraft protection is a double edge sword in my opinion. Yes it can be nice but it can also be costly. I don't know what your overdraft fees are but I know in my American bank they are $36 dollars. Which is why I opted out. My Dutch bank account works differently.

It wasn't sarcastic in the least. I was being very serious. PayPal has been a very magical experience for me and I adore it and my bank has also worked with me anytime there are lucrative fees or some other thing that caused issue with my account. My comment wasn't directed at you and if it was, I would have pinged you. I was commenting on my own personal experience with PayPal and my bank, just like everyone else has. I don't plan on getting popped in the mouth physically or metaphorically since I didn't say anything wrong (that kind of came out of left field, there); all I was talking about was my experience and the opt-put of over drafting that even Katje had mentioned. Yes, I do realize my wording isn't perfect, but it never is. I'm an adult here, too, a lot of Aywas players are and we all experience things a little differently. I am not, nor was I ever, trying to be hostile or abrasive or sarcastic like you feel I was. I'm sorry you felt that I was. It's really unfortunate how text can be taken so many different ways, but that's just the way it is. So, once again, it wasn't directed at you, I wasn't bashing your opinion or experience, I wasn't trying to hurt you. I was just stating how I feel about PayPal.

I've been overdrafted by paypal fees before but it was always my fault for not keeping track of my charges properly or not selecting the correct card. I'm much more careful about it now!

And I'm glad that aywas is offering an alternative payment option for those who may be unable to use paypal.

I much preferred Amazon over PayPayl, but I understand completely given the situation. =

That reminds me, has there been a delay in European GP purchases via the Contact Us page? I tried to buy some at the beginning of this month and still don't see a PayPal invoice. Is there a delay with everything that's been going on, or did I do something wrong?
