Teo Eggs

Site Update

We've finally figured out what we want to do with Teo Eggs! Like we said before, we decided that a random event was going to determine the owners of Teo Eggs (as opposed to breeding and adoption center stalking, as then everyone could have a chance).

To prevent people from auto-refreshing or cheating to get Teos, which was our main issue with them being a pure chance random event considering it'd cause a lot of lag, we decided that one teo egg will be given out by the site at 6:00 PM every day. All you have to do is be online at that time and the script could randomly choose you to send the Teo Egg event to.

Good luck! There are sixty five Teo sitting in the queue right now so a new one will go out at 6:00 PM for quite a while, and we'll restock them as needed.

I agree with the European users; 6 pm is 1 am in the morning for us... not really a time we all can stay up for. Please do random timezones to make it fair for everyone.

While I'm really happy to hear teos will be coming back again, like many others, I'd prefer having a drop once a day at a random time making it fair for all players regardless of their physical locations/personal commitments. For some people 6PM Aywas time will mean the middle of the night, the middle of the work/school day, or perhaps the middle of play time. However, if this is something that would be very difficult to program compared to a single time a day, then perhaps it would be possible to move the time around periodically so other folks have a chance?

I get that 6pm may be inconvenient for some, but please keep in mind that changing it to a time that would support you personally may cause problems for everyone else. The mods probably chose the timezone with the most players to cater to the needs of the majority.

Dittoing for a rotating time, maybe.

I agree with staggering the times if at all possible. Not because that timezone would only work for Americans (honestly, I know I'm at work or class during that time, and several people in other timezones are awake and ready to chase the egg) but because otherwise, it becomes an issue of the same people receiving them all the time.

c: If you choose to keep it the way it is, thank you for making the teos easier to get! I was out of luck for the adoption center ones, so I can definitely support this change :)!

Chalk me up as another person in a European timezone who is kind of disappointed in this, since it favours one group of players heavily over others. Staggering the release times would be much more fair.

i much prefer the idea of it being randomly passed out at 6 pm to anyone who was online that day. wouldn't that give people in different time zones and people with jobs and classes a fairer chance?

Ehhh i prefered them to be random chance with breedings...can that maybe stay as well? it was nice to come back to a breeding and be wowed by a teo.
or also i agree more than one timezone needs to be accounted for 6pm is midday my time which means i'm at work and not able to be about.
