+ 10 babies in general would be overbreeding to me.

But I'm more concerned about breeding for profit to be honest. Someone may keep all these babies in their lair forever, and it's their business, but when people breed only to sell babies and gain profit from it, that's a big no to me.

I'm also vary of close inbreeding, like parent / child or siblings. But then, some aywas SCC species allow it and I'm fine with it in that case.

My not overbreeding for profit is much different than most people's. IDK what other's mean. I mean I don't want 50+ babies popped out just to be sold. x3

To me over breeding is like when people use derp and RBC coins excessively on one type or look/SCC of a pet.

To clarify I meant not 50+ a month just to be sold because I don't want people just wanting my species to super profit off of. :P

I honestly don't have that much of an opinion. Breed whatever you want to, as much as you want to. You should be able to keep track of inbreeding and keep it from happening, but if two pets are 51st-cousins-twice-removed, it really doesn't matter at that point.

if i breed out my pets with limited lines/edits, i defibe overbreeding as breeding the edits more than 3 or 4 times. i count any generation as part of that if the edits are passed on. but i think for most people they just dont want people breeding pets with their edits just to sell the babies?

Aywas is weird about this kind of thing. It's very much an 'unwritten rule' that will be different according to each person you ask, but they'll just kind of expect you to know -their- specific number.

I'm not a very good Aywan, because I don't think I'd consider it 'overbreeding' until we reached the 20+ mark. But I feel like it's weird to charge people and then tell them what they can do with their babies they paid for in the first place, so I'm probably not a good metric.

Sorry for spam but looking over posts and have to agree that breeding not for profit? Pfft don't care. And the site SHOULDN'T come up with a uniform ruling because I doubt it would suit my lax rules or some people's tight rules.

My definition of overbreeding is breeding for profit. If every time you going to breed with me and sell all the baby's that's a problem.

I feel like overbreeding doesn't necessarily have to be a set number unless it's a pretty high number like 20. I don't know much since I've never considered overbreeding or making rules for it, but I feel like it would be something more like breeding a pet at least once every three months or something.

I also get the feeling though that it's different for each person, so maybe anyone who uses a no overbreeding rule should clarify themselves what that means for them.
