I consider overbreeding to be 5 maybe 6 times, OR 10 babies, not including hybrids. It's mostly for LBC/MBC purposes I suppose, to keep markings or (in the case of PLBC) edits somewhat sparse.

The 10 baby limit for me is mostly because someone may breed with my pets, but they might use a HLBC or the new painted coins, which only give one baby. So 10 babies max, however many 'breedings' that takes I guess.

Over breeding really depends on the lines and the rarity. Inbreeding has nothing to do with it so I dont really care. 10+ for rare lines and 15+ for common. . .

I agree with Kita (#3988) on the first page...

I think people should have to specify exactly what overbreeding is to them in the rules. If you don't specify (10 babies total, or 15 lifetime breedings, or 5 breedings a year), then it should be considered unenforceable because it's arbitrary and they could keep changing their minds and punishing people if they wanted. Make it concrete (x many babies/lifetime breedings/breedings per year) or don't make it a rule at all, imo.

I picked 8 because it was the max.
Overbreeding to me is like a whole page full of offspring like Nui's jellybird pet or mauri's xaoc. But why are you even trying to set vague breeding rules, really? Is this for a guide or actual rules? Just let the people decide their own terms, if something happens again, then it happens. As long as mods enforce player standards then, what else do you need.

It's like trying to define what love is. Some people think 5 is too much, some people think 20 offspring is fine. You're never going to get fair ground on this, itsnothappening.gif

I'm kinda late to the party, but my opinion is - you better don't touch this...

I don't understand how "overbreeding" is a thing. (I also don't understand how "incest" is a thing here, too, though. I mean. They are critters? Not humans? Why should they have our taboos?) So I am maybe not the right person to ask. I kinda figure, if someone has a pet, they can breed it as much as they want! If they want to breed someone else's pets, well, it's whatever the person whose pets they're breeding is comfortable with, which will probably depend on both the person and the exact pets being bred. So.

Breeding for profit/selling customs for waaaay more than they cost to get made no matter how they were made seems pretty skeevy to me, though.

By "overbreeding," do you guys mean a single couple of pets breeding or the breeding of a single player's pets as a whole? My answer differs depending on what you guys are referring to.
