Snake Solis

Pets

It's the 5th anniversary of Steve Irwin's death. It's strange how it's already been five years since he died... I still watch his show on Animal Planet, and he had always shown reptiles in a positive light, something we still need more of in the media.

In his memory I released some more snake-related Solis into Explore:

Did Steve Irwin inspire you?

Omg Steve Irwin. I literally thought he was part of our family as a child because he was ALWAYS on our TV. I cried so hard when he died. I can't believe it's been five years. - Zeph

Steve Irwin was so awesome. I can't believe it's been five years. I remember sobbing my eyes out when his daughter spoke at that special ceremony they had for him. He was an amazing person, I'm always impressed by how much his daughter is just like him though.

He was my hero. I met him when I was a little tyke at Australia Zoo. I went back last year... It just. Isn't the same without him. He was one of the most inpsiring people this planet has ever been graced with. RIP, Steve.

I know I stil have the newspaper peice that was about his death. Its up on my wall in a protective sleave so nothing and no one can rip it. Though it comes on so early, I hardly get to wach it, but if Im lucky enough, I get to wake up and see the ending or possible a diffrent episode. ~R.I.P~

If I felt so bad about the loss of him, I couldnt imagian what his wife and daughter felt.
