Win a LBP!

Pets

Lesser Breeding Pendant

You might have noticed that your silver paws amount now links to the SP Shop. By Friday it should be fully functional and all contests will be awarded with SP. To celebrate the coming of the SP Shop, I'm giving away an LBP. LBPs are re-usable LBCs that allow you to breed two pets of the same species every month.

To enter this contest, please post about two pets that are mated (either both yours, or one is yours and one is a friend's) and how they met!

This will end on Wednesday at midnight.

Pt. 2: Bleached was a young girl living on the outskirts of Ay town, making a modest living as a florist. You would think at this point I would tell you how she spent her free time, but the fact of the matter was she had so very little time to spare. Living so close to town was pricey, and she couldn't travel to find the most lovely flowers to sell. She worked long and hard hours, even giving up her time to help on the farms of her neighbors for some change. Her day started early and ended late. Sleep was a blessing she got perhaps every other day. Her fingers were callused from weeding and raking, lines at her brow from squinting into the sun. Her hair always tied back in a messy ponytail, pale skin blistered from the sun. She cursed her inability to tan properly. She was rough, an uncut diamond, and never would have dreamed of her luck changing.

Pt. 3: Hearth had been making one of his semi-regular trips to town just a few days before Christmas, draped in a coat to keep him warm without the humid shelter of his beloved forest. The cart he had was driven by a donkey, heaving at its heavy harness with harsh dedication. It was a path he was used to taking, heavy hooves plodding along the dirt roads that wound through this part of town. He was passing farms on both sides, plots empty and silos full, livestock brought in from the bitter cold. It was lonely and peaceful. But there, on the side of the road, stood a woman in a white coat, holding it tight around her. She was carrying a basket of flowers, the last batch before it would get too cold for them to survive. Hearth hastened the ass to walk up beside her and he glanced over at her face, eyes closed to the slight wind blowing against it. "'S'cuse me, m'am," he said, voice gruff and deep. "Are ye hea'in' in'o t'wn? P'rhaps I c'ld give ye a r'de, yea'?"

Pt. 4: Her eyes opened, gold piercing the grey sky as she looked up into the face of the man who spoke, blinking a bit as she processed his grunted out words. A smile tugged at chapped lips and she gave a single nod, the donkey being pulled to a halt and the wheels of the cart giving a squeak of protest as they held firm under the weight of furniture piled on top of them. Bleached accepted the man's hand when he offered it, caramel tan in contrast to her own pale one, and pulled herself onto the cart, sitting beside him. "It's a pleasure to meet you, suh," she greeted, voice silky and laced with a country drawl. "M'name's Bleached Arrow, what's yours?" Small talk is all it was at the time, something to pass the minutes as they rode into town, something to remember as she sat at home alone when this was all over.

Pt. 5: "H'rth," the man grunted, "ain' go' a las' n'me. M'tr'be don' b'lieve in 'em. S'ys i's eg'tistical." "I suppose that makes sense," she said, tugging lightly at her ponytail. "It's getting colder..." "Yea'," Hearth agreed, frowning a bit as the wind tousled his hair. "No' in th' r'n f'rest," he commented, reminiscing on the warmth of his home. "I haven't been to the rain forest," came the sad reply, and Hearth looked over at his acquaintance, frowning a bit more. "Ye don' s'y... m'ybe 'll t'ke ye t' see i' s'met'me." Bleached smiled, eyes glimmering. "Truly? I'd like that!" And they shared a smile and talked the rest of the way to town.

Pt. 6: For the next few months, they visited and grew closer and closer, until they had fallen in love. It was a strange feeling to Hearth, who was out of touch with normal emotions as it is. "So... Bl'ched," he mumbled awkwardly one day as they walked through town. "Yes, Hearth?" "I... er... I h've s'mthin' t' say..." "What is it?" "I... er... I th'nk I l've ye?" There was silence for a while, and then came the reply... "I love you too." "G'd. Tha' m'kes me h'ppy." They joined hands without a word, each with a smile on their face. They went on to live a happy life, with Hearth building them a house in the rain forest that he called his own. They weren't rich, but Hearth made good money through his carpentry. They have hopes for children in the future, which looks bright for the both of them though they can't see the sun through the trees.

Here it is! It's still long so hopefully, I can get it all in a stream.

It was quite an interesting story, of how K and D first met. I mean, K is a mercenary egotistical, self-absorbed, psychotic bitch. The type of femme that mothers warn their sons about. D, on the other hand, is a kind and sweet young boyo who mothers want their daughters to marry. Not your typical pairing, eh? And yet, to the shock and horror of everyone, D pursued (and won) K's heart. But that's a different story. Let me tell you how they first met.

It was a cold winter night. The Hunter's Moon shone red in the night sky. D and his friends were out in town, hanging out, goofing off and making the ladies sigh. It was crowded that night, as if everyone in the entire town was out to have a good time. D and his gang were ambling along towards the bridge when they saw D’s little sister by the alley. There was a bit of confusion at first, cause D’s little sister (who refuses to tell her name so no one will know about her little escapade though how no one will know is a mystery since D has only ONE sister) was supposed to be at her friend’s house. Not near an alley in Town. So of course they were a bit skeptical. After all, D’s sister acts like such a little angel! Then they saw her VERY noticeable necklace collar of gold and her snake bracelets. That coupled with her long black hair and white pelt equals confirmation. They were amused (D less so) and decided to leave her alone.

Then they saw her being mauled by a dirty, creepy old lecher. Amusement turned into shock, shock turned into fury when they saw the dirty, creepy old lecher (now dubbed Creepzoid) practically drag the poor young thing into the alley. When they saw that, they rushed to her rescue! For they were gallant and brave! And outnumbered him by four! However, as they neared them, a black blur swept past them and tackled Creepzoid to the ground. It was snarling, growling, all around terrifying as it stood over Creepzoid and salivated while he screeched for help. When the dust settled around the two, the outraged gang was able to see that it was a little ole catbat and she was PISSED OFF.
