Yoo hoo! *waves hanky* It's me again with another special delivery!

Did you know that today is Book Lover's Day? No? Well, neither did I until Shaylmesse (#13314) brought it to my attention-- and I'm blushing to have to admit my ignorance, because there are few greater pleasures than curling up with a good book! If you're like me and would just love to have your own little personal library, why don't you try Shaylmesse's gift on for size?

The Book Lover's Background is available in the Advent Calendar for the duration of today and tomorrow, up until August 10th, 11:59pm.

Ooh, but wait! There's more!

Tell me your favourite book (and why!) in the comments and you could be in with a chance of winning this set of custom crystals! I'm in need of some good new holiday reads and I'm sure I can't be the only one. :3 Chime in by August 10th, 11:59pm to ensure your spot in the draw (one entry per account, please).

Ooh, but wait! There's even more!!!

Do you remember I mentioned earlier in the week that I was having a tidy of my inbox? The invitation (and encouragement!) to nudge your outstanding Artist Pay is still open, but today I am asking you to bump up PMs pertaining to Lunarii switches. That means if you picked up the wrong Lunaris for the month and you're still waiting on me to swap 'em around for you, point yourself to my inbox sharpish!

Phew! Okay! That's everything - probably! Who knows! Yay! Exclamation marks!

Thank you for the background, Shaylmesse!

Just smell those new pages!

Just read "Freehold" by Michael Z Williamson. Excellent science fiction, solid storyline, an engaging character, and a very important social commentary. Imagine a world where people did everything by common sense. Kind of like a modern Robert Heinlein in writing style.

Thanks for the background!

My favorite book is Impulse by Ellen Hopkins. This book is about a group of teenagers who's lives intersect because they all attempted to end their lives. These teenagers meet in mental hospital and take the journey to recovery with each other. This book meant a lot to me because when I discovered it I was in a very dark place in my life. I identified heavily with one of the characters in the book, and by the end I felt myself grow as a person. I felt stronger, and I knew that things were eventually going to get better. This book was inspirational to me, and I don't know where I'd be without it. My copy is so worn down now from being lent out and re-read. This is a book I give to everyone that finds themselves in a hard place, I know it's helped more than me, and I'm thankful for it.

Sorry for got to post why *headdesk* Got so excited to blurt it out. Antia Blake is a butt killer necromancer that falls in love with a master of the city vampire and then gets into a love triangle with a werewolf as well. The books are well done. Very in depth, and fun to read, never a boring book yet but make sure to start from he first one its a big on running series and you need to Details before plunging in her last book or you will be lost. This tiny amazing woman that gets caught up in a love triangle that changes her life for ever. Learn how to do her work, and keep her loved ones safe can be hard and sometimes you lose to the ones you love or care for but you have to read the book to find out more!!! Also its a MATURE rated book so please be warned!!!.

I think my favourite books of all time would have to be Varjak Paw and it's sequel The Outlaw Varjak Paw ouo I think most people find them a little 'childish'- Especially since there are pictures every other page, but I just love it so much. For me, the messy little scribbled cats only add to the story, haha~

My favorite book would be The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness - it's the first book of one of my favorite series called Chaos Walking. It's amazing. The plot twists lead to these stunning moments that really touch you, and some parts tear your heart out - everything feels real. It's a wonderful book, part of a great series. <3 Everyone should read it.

I would have to say my favorite so far is Dragon Actually by G.A. Aiken. The Dragonkin Series itself is a great read for those that like Dragon shifters.
