Yoo hoo! *waves hanky* It's me again with another special delivery!

Did you know that today is Book Lover's Day? No? Well, neither did I until Shaylmesse (#13314) brought it to my attention-- and I'm blushing to have to admit my ignorance, because there are few greater pleasures than curling up with a good book! If you're like me and would just love to have your own little personal library, why don't you try Shaylmesse's gift on for size?

The Book Lover's Background is available in the Advent Calendar for the duration of today and tomorrow, up until August 10th, 11:59pm.

Ooh, but wait! There's more!

Tell me your favourite book (and why!) in the comments and you could be in with a chance of winning this set of custom crystals! I'm in need of some good new holiday reads and I'm sure I can't be the only one. :3 Chime in by August 10th, 11:59pm to ensure your spot in the draw (one entry per account, please).

Ooh, but wait! There's even more!!!

Do you remember I mentioned earlier in the week that I was having a tidy of my inbox? The invitation (and encouragement!) to nudge your outstanding Artist Pay is still open, but today I am asking you to bump up PMs pertaining to Lunarii switches. That means if you picked up the wrong Lunaris for the month and you're still waiting on me to swap 'em around for you, point yourself to my inbox sharpish!

Phew! Okay! That's everything - probably! Who knows! Yay! Exclamation marks!

Thank you for the background, Shaylmesse!

Just smell those new pages!

My favourite book is The Hobbit. I enjoy fantasy and adventure stories, and like that there are such diverse characters and settings in the book. And still it's just one, quite short, book. That makes a welcome change when I go back to read it from time to time, when I'm tired of long series.

Uhhm I really like all the books in The Dark Tower series beacuse well..Their kind of out there, but you do end up caring what happens to the people, and the end did make me kind of sad but overall they all come together well from book to book. :3

The Westing Game. First time I ever read it I was in the 6th grade. I now own two copies and read it once a week. The mystory, the chills are just so perfect for a late night read. I can never put when I start and I think everyone should read it. There are so many twists and turns and surprises its the best game of.clue with the PERFECT ending, Millions of rallies to winner.

To pick a single book to be my favorite book of all time is a difficult task, there are many book series out there that I just love and they usually have at least three books as part of the series if not more. So to pick just one book is not an easy feat. I would have to say The Belgariad Series by David Eddings is one of my all time favorites especially book two in the series Queen of Sorcery since many characters that are important later on are introduced, the scene of the book itself is every changing and you really do get a feel for three cultures the main group of characters encounter over the course of the book. It is also the book in the series that presents to you the fact that the journey and the bumps in the road the characters encounter along the way is just as important as the action.

I really love anything by Dick Francis.
Especially To the Hilt, simply because it has horses, murder mystery, and well great characters. A painter ^_^, a duke : D, and a whole lot of bad guys going for the treasure. Definitely worth while : )

There are far too many books to choose from, but one I love reading over and over is "Mists of Avalon" by Marion-Zimmer Bradley. Arthurian legend has always fascinated me, but her take on it from the women's point of view is fantastic! I recommend it to everyone.

The dark jewels trilogy by Anne Bishop. Set in an alternate universe, females rule over males and all are classified by jewels which determine their magic powers. It's a dark, often cruel and sadistic but the characters really draw you in. It also has quite some adult content. ;)

The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch. because it has some of the best dialogue and interesting characters I've ever read in a book. This book made me laugh and cry and pretty much got me through my junior year of high school.
