Those dastardly pendants...

Site Update

This is a short newspost, so please be sure to check the one under this for Holiday related goodies!

Yasu coded for me a 60-day regen, so I'm using it for the purpose of making Lesser Breeding Pendants 60 day regen. I know people will be rather upset by this, but with several hundreds in circulation and the price of pendant slots still horribly devalued, this needs to be done to cut back. I mean, look at the queue...

Lesser Breeding Coin (x311) | Lesser Breeding Pendant (x383)

This should not be as imbalanced. Pendants are supposed to be rare, so we're hoping this combats it. Think of it logically:

RBPS and MBPs are cheapest and pendants regen at 30 days.

LBPs are mid-grade in price and regen at 60 days.

BPs, EBPS, PBPs, and HBPs are the rarest, and are at a 90 day regen for this reason.

Please understand we do this to keep the balance in the system, and we really want to be fair on all accounts. This effectively means for the amount of LBCs people submit, a little over that amount comes around for free in the system. I hope this pans out eventually despite the obvious frustrations it will cause.

Now aside from this, spend those Candy Canes and Snowflakes and carry on merrily!

I like it, personally. xD I often don't use my LBP right away anyways, I need time to get pairs sorted out. Besides, less LBP uses in the queue = faster babies? That's gotta be good amirite?

No, people who prepaid for slots should be given their money back from the people who sold them. It's selling something you don't have and bad business no matter how you look at it.

It's not really faster babies if you still have to wait two month between breedings, Army. lol It pretty much evens things out to being just as bad.

It's not free, it's called pre-paid.

Wait, it makes sense that the LBP should have a longer regen time, but shouldn't the rarest ones gave the shortest regen time? Because since there are less of them, the queue isn't as long?

I think it's a good change. Gives more of a spacing on the various breeding options. I don't have a LBP but I wouldnt be bothered by this bummed maybe but hey makes sense. (Though why people say they were like candy is relative) As for the pre-paid issue well it is a risk you take that something comes up. If you were foolish (not looking to offended but really you took the gamble) enough to pay money for something possibly months out then if there was no agreement to cover something coming up that's a risk you were willing to take when you sent over the GP. Sure a good merchant should give you the option to wait or get reimbursed (what if a RL issue came up?) but really they're not obligated to and shouldn't be. A good merchant should have done a 'waiting list' or queue and when your time came then you pay. Either way seems like a positive change though a warning is never unappreciated.

Makes perfect sense to me. If it's unbalancing the system that much, it only makes sense to cut back on it.

Unbalanced? And whose fault is that? Not mine, but I have to "pay' for it?

I killed myself on those games to get the SP to get my (single) LBP back when they were available in the SP shop. I don't rent it, sell slots, I got it strictly for my own use & delight.
I got it with the expectation that I could breed a pair of Melos once a month, and get two babies.
Then you changed the rules so that we couldn't breed old & new lineart.
Now you are changing the rules again to give us half of what we were supposed to get when we purchase the LBP. Purchased. Even without spending money on it, yes- I did buy it by working for the SP to purchase it with. I don't consider any of those breedings as "free". I earned them by earning my LBP.

Yeah, I would avoid the use of free breedings. Its not free if you paid for it. :-I If I pay off my housing loan that doesnt make my home free. x-D It appears this event boils down to giving future updates (1-2 months heads up of site changes) = less unhappiness for the new year x-D

I'm going to better format a response later, but in short, people make decisions to buy or not buy something based on their advertized useages. This is bad business. I appreciate you say "everything is subject to change" but that is not a reasonable catch all phrase. What the news post really means is that you all feel you made a mistake by making them too attainable, and instead of realizing that mistake, you let it get out of control, and are noww passing the effect or punishment of that on to the user, instead of creatively finding a way to positively handle the problem. None of the pendents were illegally gained. No one twisted anyones arm or abused a glitch to attain them. The 3 for 1 deal IS reasonable, or some other reward trade system, but to penalize the everyday user, and it is a penalty ask anyone who owns one, is just unwise. There are plenty of ways to reward users or entice them to trade in pendants even a buy back option! Why not offer to buy back the pendents? I'm sure there are far more creative and reasonable ways to solve this problem.
