Internet Censorship
If you haven't already heard of SOPA, it's bill going through committee in the US that basically allows the US government to censor the internet, and makes website owners liable for what users post.
All of us need to protest.
The bill means the government can block what YOU view because one person posts something that infringes copyright. That means all video streaming sites are vulnerable, all forums, all pet sites that allow user content, all social networking sites, the moment someone notices a user posting copyrighted material.
It means that web site owners will be legally liable for what their users post, as opposed to now, where they are required to remove content upon being notified of the infringement. And I dunno about you but that sounds like death to user content everywhere.
The efforts of everyone is necessary in making sure Congress hears our outcry about this. To learn more, search for SOPA in an internet search engine and look at the recent news articles, or go to AmericanCensorship.org.

That's just wrong on so many levels.
Signed as well. If people and users like us have anything to say about it this will not pass at all. I wouldn't be happy in the least either.

I'm signing this for sure. Bills like this are a waste of time, in my opinion /: Aren't there more important things to focus on than limiting stuff on the internet? I'll flip out if this even passes the voting stage>.>

(Cries) this would make my anime go away. And other stuff.. Total bull. >_< wtf is wrong with those in charge anymore. If they keep trying to pull stuff like this, the people are going to get ticked and everything will explode. Seriously...

Government seriously needs to step back and stay the fuck out of our shit. They have our hands in our so called "Freedom", they have their dirty fingers all over in our money, to fucking hell with them, seriously. I'm tired of this shit. That whole, "Land of the Free" and "Liberty and Justice for All" bits are not the biggest loads of shit out there. This isn't any free fucking land. "Freer than other countries are..." yeah perhaps but still, won't be for much longer this shit keeps happening. And, Justice and Liberty were lost a LONG ASSED TIME AGO! Where the hell is this petition I need to sign? Fucking government.

I remember sending an e-mail protesting against it. It seems like every citizen of the U.S. doesn't like it ... Aywas doesn't, Firefox doesn't, all my friend's don't. But then I read an article that says both political parties are in favor of passing the bill. Why don't they turn their attention to more pressing matters like the economy instead of censoring the Internet?!
