How interesting! It seems we have some Ay pets dressed as Ara pets, who are themselves dressed as something else. A costume within a costume. Deception? *scratches chin*
Maki, Oske and Chromo colourations submitted here throughout the coming week will net you 10 GP instead of the normal 3 GP! Don't forget the fabulous Mauri of #1010 knows more about pet colourations than you could shake a stick at, and is always on hand to answer any questions you might have about our weekly Explore releases.
Erienne has some super duper awesome Hallowe'en goodies below, so make sure you've checked everything out! For those of you awaiting HA goodies from myself, I'll be giving priority to Hallowe'en related items so that you may trick or treat in style.

Halloween Extravaganza 2011!!

Is everyone enjoying their goodie bags? :3
In the Ghost Bag you will find cute little candies to give your pets or send to friends as treats! The Spooky Goodie Bag is filled with tons of silly pumpkins and candy, but if you're lucky, you may get one of these potions:
The Batty Potion will give you a rare/hybrid not available in the shops or Haunted House! The Ghostly Potion works the same way but is filled with uncommon pets. The Soul Potion will give you a random pet stocking in the Trash Shop. The Arak Potion will give you a random arak coloration, though you may want to hold onto it until we get some more! These pets can also be obtained the usual ways (Rogue zaps, TREs, other potions, etc!).
These cute, emoticon pumpkin collectables also might come in handy later today in the museum. :)
Lorin has informed me that his Seasonal Shop is now full of Halloween pets and goodies for you and your HA!
Spenser is also getting in on the annual celebration with some new treasures in his Trash Shop.
The Skull Potion is unique to the Trash Shop and will give you a random pet from the Seasonal Shop if you'd like to try your luck!
Lights on!
Everyone will be receiving one of these pretty lantern collectables in honor of the Lights On/Off community game that we play together! Not sure how it works? If you want to give out treats (or tricks), put "Lights On" in your username. People will come "knocking" at your door by posting on your profile or sending you a message as a trick-or-treater and you can send them a little gift or a trick message in response! When you go offline or are afk, or don't want to play, either put "Lights Off" in your name or just leave your name normal.
Do NOT go knocking if the person isn't playing the game, and I don't want to see any begging.
I'll be sending out things to everyone or random online users all day. :3
(And will be filling treasure chests and the cauldron--don't worry, it'll stay open a bit longer since it's been pretty quiet.)
I have some more things to add later, but I think this is a pretty good way to kick off the celebration amid the impending Apocalypse, don't you?

The amphitheater-like news area begins to shake. Citizens seated around the stage scream, some of them immediately leaving on Quetzals or Griffins waiting just outside the building. Others try to stampede from the stands, but the sheer mass of people present makes it nigh impossible. Most quiver in their seats, praying to the gods that they'll survive.
A massive crack splits the stage, and steam and smoke pours from it. It's like a mouth, a large, black, gaping slice from the stone. The fumes make the onlookers near the front gag and gasp for fresher air. Those further away see forms shifting about in the gray smoke. A blast of wind clears the stage, revealing the four standing in front of the gouge in the platform.
The beasts are ten feet tall at the shoulders, each of them a different color - one is white, one is green, one is purple, and one is red. No longer moving, they stand perfectly still, their hollow eyes looking out over the terrified people before them.
"We are the beasts of the Apocalypse," they say. None of their mouths are moving, but the voice seems to come from all four. "It is too late to run from us now. We have breeched this world, and it will now suffer a thousand years under one of our control. We have decided to be so kind as to let you choose which ruler you desire."

You guys didn't think the Seasonal Shop was the only thing planned for Halloween, right? *wink*
The Seasonal Shop currency will remain BP, but I think it's close enough to the holiday to let you in on a couple of secrets! I'm not about to give away all the surprises, though.
Orbs will be a currency for a mystery shop.
Hang on to some of your Haunted Pumpkins! The ones you don't use in the lab will turn into a HA item.
Orange Custom Crystals and Orange Custom Orbs will be findable in the Haunted House for three days only: October 30th, 31st and November 1st.
The Trash Shop will have some special things in it for Halloween as well!
If you don't want to dump those plants you've been harvesting, I might have a bonus use for those too.
Anyone just a tad more excited about Halloween now? :3

Slash didn't plan for a special holiday currency since we have the lab and cauldron this year, so the shop will be using good ol' fashioned BP.
Frankenstein's Lab
Has had some new pets added!
I'll probably add some more pets to the lab on Halloween. :3
Just a quick update on the coding aspect of things: Yasu has been suffering some extensive Internet troubles for the last week, which is why we haven't had as many updates in that area as we'd like. We're hoping things get back to normal for him soon!

New pets!
Pets
Let's pretend today is Saturday for a couple of minutes, because I have new explore pets!
But, before we go any further, I do want to mention that Adventure only has four locations open right now on purpose. People were taking advantage of the high-leveled, wild Rainforest pets, but I assure you that your favorite locations will re-open when the Haunted House closes down for the season! Now, onto the lovely new pets for this week:
If you're in need of a little extra GP, why not try coloring some Rogrs or Lacers this week for the 10 GP incentive? Swing by the Pet Coloration Submissions forum to enter your designs!
We apologize for the lack of new explore pets lately, but I know the Haunted House has been keeping you guys pretty busy! I also have a small coder-related update for you! Zander, whom you probably know as Rebel, is still MIA. He has been replaced with Aggie, who will be working on a ton of features that are owed to us throughout October and November. Maaaybe something to do with HAs and something to finally use those handguns for! .. Wait, that came out wrong. Those are two separate features, we're not going to be using handguns with HAs any time soon. XD
Don't worry, Yasu will still be our fixes guru and that is still the priority. As soon as I chat with him a little later tonight, I'm hoping to have some more updates in that arena.
Alright, time for me to head off to work! Have fun with Risk and Kuitsuku!
