So! You'll be looking for some pets to capture since we're all still alive and kicking, huh?
Aaand for all you artistic types out there, submit some Phanto, Reve and Soli pets over the coming week for your chance at 10 GP per colouration. All relevant info is located in the Colouration Submissions forum.

Art Gallery Notice

Don't forget that the Art Gallery closes its submissions for the Opterix at 11:59 PM tonight. It is currently feeling sad and lonely, as it hasn't gotten a lot of submissions. If this continues, we'll be removing the "one artwork win per month" rule to ensure we get six a week.
So why not give it a shot? You have a decent chance of winning!

Copyright
Rules
Okay guys, it's time for another reminder about the copyright rules on Aywas.
For those of you who don't know, there is a copyright board found here.
You must create a thread on this board if you create a design that is based on something that is not your original design. This means if you reference anything that you don't own, you submit it here before you make it. If the copyright has expired on whatever it is you have based your design on, it must be submitted to the board so my team can just check.
It's always been a rule that if something is instantly recognisable as what it was based on, it is against the rules. People seem to have forgotten this little fact, so here's a reminder on that.
I've heard things said like, "Disney isn't going to sue a pet site." Disney will do this, and they have in the past. This is not an excuse, and by saying this and avoiding the copyright panel, you are putting the site at risk. It is their copyright, not Aywas, which is why we have the rules in place to protect Aywas.
If you have any questions, they can most likely be found here.
You can also shoot me a message via pms (or use my snazzy new email - [email protected] :D )
Remember - The use of making designs based of copyright designs is a privilege, not a right you are entitled to. If you break the copyright rules, you put the site at risk and will face a punishment, which may be a permanent ban.
If these copyright rules keep on being broken, there may be discussion of removing the privilege of letting you design things that are not based on your own original work. Please think about your actions in the future so you don't ruin this privilege for the people who do follow the rules.
I hate grumping at you about this, but it is needed.

TOS Update - 5/19/2011

Hey hey hey I have snazzy new emails listed in the TOS and Contact page.

Some other small things were updated in the TOS, such as allowing us to e-mail you about your account, putting together more subjects that were related, rewording some stuff for clarity, etc. I'm still on a quest to make it shorter.
Note that I removed the "forbidden words" list, but that it is still against the TOS to use any racist or derogatory language toward another user.

Plush Boxes
Items
Plush Boxes have been released into the Plush Store, Spense wanted me to tell you (idk what he's doing right now).
The first one will be available until 5/20 to give you some time to collect any remaining plushes from Series 1, which will retire tomorrow when Series 3 comes out. Plush Series 2 will remain until it retires.
As for Series 3... you'll be able to open it at midnight! Feel free to stock up, if you so desire.

Site Update
128 Purple Vetch Ippos and 87 Eastern Red Columbine Vions sold in the past week, which means we will be donating $302.00 to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
Our Tornado Donation Drive has now ended. We raised $1,366 in donations to help the southern US states affected by tornados.
