Just a quick update to let you guys know that the Cat Cookie Cutter and the Kitty Tray have been given charges! The cookie cutter has 5 and the tray has 10, so that should help with your recipes! :3
Someone--definitely not me or anything *cough*--neglected to give the items charges from the start. All new items and existing items have been updated with the proper charge amount.
The Koaf also now has its very own Knowledge Base article!

December Lunaris + Koaf Update

The Narcissus Lunaris is the December 2013 birthday pet and can now be collected by those of you with a birthday this month! (Though you'll have to wait til your big day to actually take one home.)
If your birthday has already passed and you missed out on the Lunaris or collected last month's on accident, please contact Chelle (#7310). She is only handling December Lunaris refunds/exchanges at this time. :3

Baking up a new pet for the holidays!

Which one of you has been baking up a storm?! It smells like either cookies, cake, or some kind of sweet bread, and you should probably share with everyone.
Hey, it looks like there's a trail of Kitty Flour leading right to... Chaos' Gourmet Cooking!
With the power of a Slashbot, Coffee, Fly and Rinny (#1115) have literally cooked us up a brand new pet! They have been waiting very patiently for this genus to be released, and we finally got the recipe down pat for this trio!
Without further ado, we are excited bring to you...
... the delicious Koaf!

The Koaf is classified as a Rare genus and it has its very own set of custom makers!
There are four Koaf Pans to choose from--Metal, Bronze, Blue and Gold, all of which allow the corresponding edit limits you're used to. But how you obtain these items is half the fun!
Koaf Pans can be cooked up via the Chaos Gourmet Cooking feature, but there are a few extra special requirements that I'd like to go over with you! If you've tried to bake before, you should know that following the recipe perfectly is important--otherwise things can turn out a little interesting.
*Note* If you're not familiar with Gourmet Cooking, take care to click on the Let Me Pick a Recipe button. If you choose the standard Gourmet Cooking button, it will throw you into a random gourmet recipe, and you might get stuck if it's a difficult one.
Koaf Pan Cooking
- Each pan requires your pet to be at a certain cooking level before you can bake it! Metal is level 50, Bronze is level 100, Blue is level 200 and Gold is level 300.
- All pan recipes require a standard set of six ingredients, plus some colorful toppings. The six ingredients you will need for every pan are:
A Kitty Tray, Meowr Sugar, Paw Butter, Koaf Egg Carton, Kitty Flour, and Spice Bottle.
- The additional colorful toppings you need come in the form of Icing and Whisker Sprinkles. There are nine Purrfect Icing items and ten Whisker Sprinkle items of varying rarities. Metal Koaf Pans require the least amount of toppings and the lowest rarity items, with the Bronze and Blue requiring different toppings of higher rarities. For the Gold Koaf Pan, you will need every topping!
Above is Purrfect White Icing, Multi Whisker Sprinkles, and Purrfect Black Icing.
- All of the ingredients/equipment are set as standard food items or cooking tools, so you'll find them in normal game play and will probably even cook some up!
- Again, Koaf Pans are creatable via Gourmet Cooking, and we suggest choosing the Let Me Pick a Recipe option so you can elect to make one (if your pet has a high enough level).
*Disclaimer* You will see these items come up in regular cooking recipes, but you will also receive them from cooking. We know it'll be a bit difficult to come by these items at first (as it always is when we add new food items to the system), but things should even out after the items have time to work their way in. Don't forget to visit Zave's Food, use your Grocery Bag if you have one, etc., to help out with collecting food items. :3
One item that you won't run into during baking is the Curious Milk Jug.
This will function as a random potion for the Koaf--but we need some colorations first, don't we? :3

Adopt a Custom Updates!

The Adopt a Custom feature now has its own Knowledge Base article with some helpful information on the feature including content submissions and some FAQs! I hope this helps clear up some things for people who have asked for an information page regarding the feature, and encourages others to submit entries to the pets on the calendar! You can find the article right here!
I tried to think up enough information to cover all bases, but if there are any other questions regarding the feature that people have, post them in a comment here and I'll add them in as I see fit. Let's continue to make the feature a fun one for everyone to enjoy.
For those that are interested in submitting pets to the feature, please meander over to this thread, we're continually looking for pets for the feature! Unique customs only, and more details can be found there.
I am also looking for up to 12 helpers to be judges for the feature. This is a volunteer position to help pick pet page winners for the feature. Since I took Adopt a Custom over I haven't been sure of who was active or not, so I'm starting from a clean slate. For those that were previous judges, you are welcome to send me a message stating you still want to be a judge. I'm looking for active people who can judge each weekend, and with twelve we can properly designate a small group per day! If interested please email me at [email protected] and include a little information about yourself, your availability, and maybe even some of your own work, be it writing, coding, or art, so I know you'll be right for the job.

Holiday Lane!

Good evening, friends! I hope you have some warm clothes and a hot cup of tea or cocoa nearby, because we just received the weather report for the rest of December, and it looks like we might be snowed in for a while!
The Holiday Lane has returned for a month of enjoyment, merriment, and peppermint!
Your favorite treats have returned, along with our three main holiday items--the Snowball, Snowflake, and Candy Cane.
Snowball - r10 (Common).
Stock up on these to build a crazy snowman or arm yourself (aka, throw them at your friends! Snowball fights in good fun are something we encourage!). These will not be used in the Seasonal Shop, but they might come in handy for some raffles. *wink*
Snowflake - r30 (Uncommon).
While not very unique, since they all have the same image, these sparkling snowflakes will be used as the secondary currency in the Seasonal Shop. You will also be able to exchange them for Candy Canes.
Candy Cane - r70 (Super Rare).
Our favorite candy! These will be the main currency in the Seasonal Shop, so resist the temptation to gobble them up!
It also seems that there are some strange tracks appearing in the snow.
There are currently 20 pets for you to find in Holiday Lane, and more will be added frequently!
