NaNoWriMo 2013!

National Novel Writing Month is upon us!
(D: And my apologies for the delay on rolling out the forum parchment, we wanted to make sure you guys had private forums again this year.)
If you're unfamiliar, NaNoWriMo is a project that challenges you to write a 50,000-word novel within the 30 days of the month! I know many of you have been hard at work burning up those keys to make your goals, and we'd like to invite you to post your work here on Aywas for some appropriately themed prizes. c:

Post your stories here! This is publicly visible.
Private NaNo Logs 2013
If you don't want your work visible to the public, please utilize the private forum instead.
Only you and staff will be able to see your threads, and we will happily remove them from the site upon request after the month is over and prizes have been handed out.
Whether you use the public space or private area, you must follow the NaNo instructions!
We have also created a new FAQ thread for any questions that you run into.
And, of course, there are prizes!
(They stack, so the more you write, the more goodies you accumulate.)
Prize Tiers:
1,000 - participation item.
5,000 - pet item.
10,000 - HA set.
25,000 - Defense items.
50,000 - Forum title, exclusive fauna and a powerful weapon!
I'm not telling you exactly what each item will be specifically, but those are pretty good hints.
Since I don't have time to participate in NaNo myself, you have to let me create suspense somehow!

Pet Origins and Previous Owners
Site Update
There are two new pet profile features that have us staff critters really excited!
First, custom pet origins. From this point forward, when you create a pet through the custom pet feature, the origin will log what item was used to make it. It also logs whether it was made in Custom Adventure and displays that.
Second, previous owners. This section logs the previous owners of a pet and displays how they've been transferred.
These will be great helps to the moderation team and we hope you enjoy them too!

Shop & Patch Reminder!
Site Update
The Seasonal Shop will be closing its doors this evening after 11:59 p.m., so make sure to snag any last minute treats and tricks you still want to get your hands on!
The Bottled Fog and Bubbling Brew will also be removed from the Trash Shop at this time.
As a quick reminder, none of the potions or custom makers are limited-time use. They will continue to work indefinitely, so you can save them for a rainy day even next year if you like. c:
The Pumpkin Patch is just about ready to close up for the year as well!
You will still be able to deposit pumpkins through 11:59 p.m. tonight. After that time, you won't be able to deposit any new pumpkins, but you will be able to collect one every ten minutes until the patch is completely empty! :3
