Melo Figurines

Pets

So, anyone who's been on the forums (specifically Aywas Talk) will have seen that I'm playing with the idea of getting melo figurines made. Why melos? Prototype development for figurines is very expensive, so we can only have one figurine at this time if we want one, and melos have the most colors and the most popularity. :)

Anyway, the figurines would be three inches, solid vinyl with that beautiful vinyl smell. They will be packaged in a box that gives you a random melo figurine of 10 different colors, so every box will be full of excitement. *flail*

Aside from that, there will be pure white melo figurines available for you to color on with markers, paint, etc and make your own customs. We can have monthly or bi-monthly "melo custom figurine" contests if enough people are interested in coloring white figurines for prizes. :)

Here are the colors we've tentatively chosen. I say tentatively in that you can give me suggestions for replacing out a color with another color, and if enough people agree it'll be done. :)

In closing, before any of this can happen (and I hope it can, man, I want a ton of these things all over my room and house... everywhere you turn--MELO!), there needs to be sufficient interest from the userbase. So, poll time! Keep in mind that USD buyers would be first, so if you CAN use USD (or any other PayPal supported currency, lol) pick that first before GP!

Melo figurines, around $7-$10 (and might be released for GP later)
I want one (or more) and I can pay USD!

I'm not interested in these

The trading cards are still on the list of cool ideas, but since they require so much custom art and templating, they might be be around for a while - just for anyone wondering!

I don't think it was meant many in a single box, but getting like 3-5 boxes and having multiples in 2 or 3 of those boxes, so you're only getting 2 or 3 out of the 5 you ordered. I mean, if there's only going to be 1 or 2 out of the 10 that I like, I'm not spending 10 bucks a box to get those 1 or 2 and get multiples of ones I hate. Yah know? D: I don't feel like I'm getting my point across there/whatever/shutting up now lol ~Kirema

I voted that I would purchase them at that price, but honestly, I'd like to see them at least a couple of dollars cheaper than the estimate in the poll. I also agree with those saying the Sugar Skull, Zombie, and Vampire Melos may not be the best choices (personally I feel the Sugar Skull especially is ugly as sin). I'm going to say I would NOT purchase them if they were random; like someone else said, I have terrible luck, and if I were to purchase a patterned one, I'd probably end up with one I didn't like if it were random. That being said, I'd be MOST likely to purchase the blank figurine. I love the idea of customizing one (and partly joined Aywas because the pet customization option seemed novel and unique), especially if there were to be contests, and especially especially if polymer clay additions would be allowed!

"I'm gonna have to say no to the sugar skull as a figurine" That one would probably end up as a doggy chewy toy or something. I probably wouldn't display it on my shelf with the others. 10 for $10 seems really fair to me, since around here most little figurines are a good $1 to $1.50 each anyways - and they /are/ bulk items. (I'm talking Wal Mart and such) - I would probably replace it with something like Black Brindled Leopard Melo or Ice Leopard Melo - something more eyeball-friendly. And like someone else said - more natural patterns. I would also totally buy the blank ones - and go absolutely nuts decorating them with rhinestones and ribbons.

I would buy one as soon as I could. Though the Sugar Skull is...bleh. It doesn't fit in with the others. I suggest something more vibrant. Bonfire or Seacoon maybe?

I'd only buy them if they came with redeemable codes you could use on site. Like you could get a breeding coin or custom or something if you buy one.

I would like to see natural colours too. Dog colours preferably. Also, though 3 inches might be a bit big for her, being 6 iches, Kaitlin my BJD wants a melo of her own 8D /endweirdness
