Aywas is currently hiring a human avatar artist. This artist would produce a male and female human base, as well as hair styles and clothing/accessories for said bases. If you are interested in applying, please submit human art examples to [email protected]
We are paying approximately $50 per base and $10 per object/hairstyle/clothing (eg: $5 an item, on two bases).

I look forward to seeing what design base you go for for these avatars. Going by the adoptable stiles, I see chibi stile avatars will probably be the chosen choice. Would be nice though if avatar customization of our characters would include some anthro options. Adding different type of legs, wings, fur ears, horns etc. That way at least you have the choice of your avatar looking human, or anthro.

Hm..I'm not a fan of the Furry scene at all, but tacking on ears or tails or wings and stuff could definitely make these a ton neater-- heck, that's what I make my pets into, anyway: people with minor animalistic attributes. So yeah, if the 'anthro' thing was an option, I might be more inclined to give this a try. x3 I still think I'd prefer normal pets and just anthropomorphizing them myself, but hey. That'd definitely appeal to me more. Question, though..these 'avatars'. You'll only get one to represent 'yourself', right? Hence why shared accounts are virtually screwed if they want one for each person or something? -c-

'Cause I can see trying to avoid keeping them from being 'petlike' in the sense of owning a ton of human characters, but I personally think being able to switch between two or three or so would offer up a lot of opportunities, actually-- so if you wanted to switch to a different one with an entirely separate wardrobe and overall sense of style, it'd be much simpler without changing each article of clothing and every accessory and so on. Just a thought. Although I, uh, don't think we should really be able to breed these. Or sell them. xDD People might get funny ideas that we're into slavery. Or kinky bondage stuff. If we put them on leashes and such, that is. ..... ..Would I be able to put mine on leashes? C8

I am so keen on this XD Was just getting kinda bored with Aywas but this'll probably get me well and truly stuck back in. Love human avs, really looking forward to seeing how this goes o/

Also agreed with Demby - I would love the option to have more than one human "av". Maybe pay for more? P: Though yeah, I can see that turning them more into characters than avatars...

I've always wondered what an all-traditional-art pet site would be like..maybe not banners and stuff, but..pets and scenery artwork and stuff, maybe? Or at least traditional sketches that are colored in digitally, but still to where you could see that it was obviously pencil-drawn. x3 ...Yeahh, just some weird fantasy of mine, since I didn't have a tablet up until a year or so ago. It's name is Intu and I adopted it from Devi. The poor thing had to have the cord spliced because I used it too much and wore part of it out where it was already weak from having Mikki's bunny nom on it a bit, but I love my friggen tablet, franken-cord an' all. xDD;
