Aywas is currently hiring a human avatar artist. This artist would produce a male and female human base, as well as hair styles and clothing/accessories for said bases. If you are interested in applying, please submit human art examples to [email protected]
We are paying approximately $50 per base and $10 per object/hairstyle/clothing (eg: $5 an item, on two bases).

Truth of the matter is... we implement features that will bring in more people, that a majority of the user base will like and want to use, and other ways to help make money for the site and make other users spend their onsite money. Not everybody is going to like everything. As for your comment Kyu, you chose to share an account... most people don't share accounts and accounts aren't meant to be shared.

Also, I had slap Slash 1000000 times to get avatars as an off option and now I have to go into hiding because he's going to gut me for harassment. :]

It's not a waste because some people like having avatars, but it'll be forced on those of us that don't. The fact that we'll have to have an avatar on our profiles even if we don't want one saddens me a bit. I'm completely uninterested and not really looking forward to this feature, personally.
I mean, what about users (like Mauri and I) that share an account? We have to make one avatar to express both of us somehow? I'd not be as bothered if there was an option to not have an avatar, that's my final word on the matter.
