Aywas is currently hiring a human avatar artist. This artist would produce a male and female human base, as well as hair styles and clothing/accessories for said bases. If you are interested in applying, please submit human art examples to [email protected]
We are paying approximately $50 per base and $10 per object/hairstyle/clothing (eg: $5 an item, on two bases).

lol i would think its a totally waste of aywas money, but then again as Daggles said, my opinion doesnt really mather either xD -Tai.

it's not a waste, a lot of people actually like this sort of thing - and those that don't can just ignore it after the initial set-up something like this would require. *shrugs* We've been doing this sort of thing on Gaia since 2003 - it's not the end of the Ay world or anything.
You use parts of the site you like, and you use the ones you don't like as little as possible. Besides, I"m sure that Slash and Co. have done some "market research" so this is a guesstimated risk they're taking.

I don't think it's a waste at all. It's not something everyone would have to participate in. Personally, I prefer the animals to the human, but some people really like to have a human avatar... and it wouldn't really bother me. As long as you can buy some cheap clothes to keep it from being naked.... And perhaps you can even offer custom clothing concepts and such for GP just like you do for pets? That would increase income.

NO NOT HUMAN AVATARS >( Man I hate those things....
If you HAVE to do it, please to be picking a good artist, though. Too many of these human avatar things are shot in the foot before they even begin because of a super subpar (and usually creepy lookin') base (see: Every single site with human avatars aside from Subeta and Gaia).

^ What Khiarhu said. Aywas are called 'pets' for a reason. This is something along the lines of pokemon/digis/etc. where you as a user are a collector, trainer, whatever.
