Site Update

We have updated our Terms of Service to reflect the fact that Aywas now uses AdSense to serve advertisements (section: Privacy Policy). At the moment we have one ad, which will show at the bottom of the page, but one will be added to the left side as well.

Following the recent PBC discussion, we came to a conclusion: the users understandably do not want to pay more for breeding coins, but the artists want to be paid more. As a result, we came up with a way to pay artists more without raising the price of coins--serving advertisements that help bridge that financial gap. You can read more about this discussion here.

Aywas is committed to blacklisting ads that are offensive or behave in ways that aggravate or diminish the player's experience. To report an advertisement, go to this thread in the Help forums and we will investigate the situation and block the ad if needed.

By starting our ad serving now, we'll have a half month to see how much revenue we can expect from this, and can better inform our artists what to expect in terms of ad-paid bonuses monthly.

Yeah, sorry, but I don't breed and I intensely dislike inevitably getting stuff on my computer and/or annoying redirects from ads, so I'm not turning off my AdBlocker. This is an old computer that's fragile enough as-is without me running the risk of picking up something that'll kill it completely.

You know what? I hardly ever breed either. That's not stopping me from turning off my adblocker to support a site that I have free access to and have enjoyed for years and the artists and coders who make that site possible.

If you can't handle having a single banner ad right at the bottom of the page and feel you absolutely have to have your adblocker on, fine, that's your choice and no one is going to take that option away from you. Just don't claim that "I don't breed" is a valid reason for doing so.

White listed! :D

Hope that's all that's needed. Or do I need to click on ads once in a while?

I've disabled adblock for now. c: Hopefully malware and its ilk won't be a problem, because that's the only reason it will get turned back on. (That's basically a one-and-done deal for me. I've had bad luck in the past. xD;) I don't mind the bottom ad, because it's fairly unobtrusive, so hopefully the left one will be similar.

Ads don't show on my computer, though they do on my ipad and I use that more so that should help. ^^ I'm not really allowed ads on my laptop since my Dad paid for it, but so far the ipad version keeps trying to get me to make another gmail. xD I already have 3 accounts haha

Malware is not going to be a problem from ads unless you go to the malicious site & directly download whatever they are showing. You are NOT getting malware off of viewing an image off aywas. You have to load something to get malware, which would need a click to even initiate. So don't click the banners & you should not have any issues.

E-M [Hiatus???] (#15798) Changing what you share with Google drastically affects the ads. The only thing my account does is keep a history of what YouTube videos I search and watch, and everything else is turned off. I've not had a single ad that is relevant to any of my interests, location or Googled subjects =)

Whitelisted Aywas, more than thrilled to find a way to support artists without having to raise PBC costs! :D Thank you Slash, I really hope this helps a lot!
