Tigerbird Finx
Many of you have heard talk of the other side of Ay. One of the pets that walks those unknown lands is the Finx. We might not be ready to release the other side of Ay yet, but we're going to be releasing the PSDs to these pets one by one to accept colorations for when the other side of the world goes live.
The Finx is a species whose colors should blend the designs of a mammal and a bird. That one up there isn't a good example because that was just Xero experimenting on melos and reves (it is purdy though), but good examples would be:
- Leopard Hawk
- Tiger Osprey
- Panda Eagle
And so forth.
The Tigerbird is indeed the first of the Finx species and will be the only Finx coloration released before the other side of Ay becomes accessible. You can thank Xero for that. Due to the rarity of these creatures, he'll be handing out ten of them of random genders. If you would like to take your chances getting one, post your favorite thing about the Finx species. Winners will be randomly selected from the entries (no double entries, one news comment per person, please).

What's not to love about the Finx? It has everything I could possibly love! A Fluffy mammal/bird! The wings are gorgeous and the possible designs to go with it would be endless! I am certainly planning on collecting these in the future! So...pretty....and cute...TIGERBIRD IS THE SEX. I want to pet it...so badly....the wings....8D

My favorite thing about the Finx species is how they look crafty. Oh yes just a cute little kitty bird, but you know you'll turn around and it's going to be a death from above scenario. Perfect for guarding lairs, oh yes... >3 Great new pet design wise, I can't wait to see some of the colorations that will come about for these cuties.

Winged...cats....
I love 'em!
I've been a huge fan of winged cats for the longest time and these are just sooo adorable!
It reminds me of the time I made black wings for my black cat on halloween!
What I love most about this?

I lovet he thick wing muscle, it shows the artist has a good concept of "mythical anatomy" - a typical bird wing would not hold any purchase for a mammal, giving only 'lulz magic' as an excuse. Giving it more muscle makes a slightly more realistic explanation feasable. On that, the anatomy is generally quite nice for a cartoony animal.

I love their little cute but smug expression. It's like they know you want to catch them, but by the time you get close they'll just flutter away. They're so elegant and charming!
