Tigerbird Finx
Many of you have heard talk of the other side of Ay. One of the pets that walks those unknown lands is the Finx. We might not be ready to release the other side of Ay yet, but we're going to be releasing the PSDs to these pets one by one to accept colorations for when the other side of the world goes live.
The Finx is a species whose colors should blend the designs of a mammal and a bird. That one up there isn't a good example because that was just Xero experimenting on melos and reves (it is purdy though), but good examples would be:
- Leopard Hawk
- Tiger Osprey
- Panda Eagle
And so forth.
The Tigerbird is indeed the first of the Finx species and will be the only Finx coloration released before the other side of Ay becomes accessible. You can thank Xero for that. Due to the rarity of these creatures, he'll be handing out ten of them of random genders. If you would like to take your chances getting one, post your favorite thing about the Finx species. Winners will be randomly selected from the entries (no double entries, one news comment per person, please).

I love the wings =) And I like the fact that the Finx has whiskers and they appear taller than a Melo and their tails are slimmer and longer than a Melos. I also love the fact that the Finxs are a combo species. They're just downright cute! I can't wait to see the other designs that people come up with. I bet they'll all look amazing. Melos have been my favorite species since I joined but then I saw the Finx and...well I've changed my mind. I also love the name XD Overall, a great new species that I look forward to collecting.

I love that they're cat-like like melos, but possess wings that are feathered. I think this almost looks like a Reve/melo hybrid, but its an awesome species itself. =) I foresee many sparklcat customs in your future. =P

I grew up on the "Catwings" books and have loved the idea ever since. I'm really pleased to see a species like that here.

Well, my favorite thing about them would have to be the legs. I like how they're shaped and the stance they have. It almost looks like they're standing on a soap box and going 'Yeah, I'm that awesome. ;3'

You guys are getting things done so fast! Kudos! As for my favorite aspect of it I'm torn between it's face and it's name! XD It's name and pose reminds me of a sphinx! A baby sphinx that thinks more of the next prank it's going to pull than the riddle it's supposed to tell. It is awesome!

The elegance that surrounds it is what caught my eye and its way pretty, and has a certain sly mystery look to it that makes it look just plain good looking, and the wings are amazing, and it is just sooooooooooo beautiful!
