Teo Adoption Drops

Site Update

Teos in the adoption center can drop either in their actual genus, or in a random genus to offset the enormous advantage that Goggle users have in finding them. They are still dropped in both ways, but there is no telling which way any particular egg or batch will be dropped.

Ya know I normally try and stay out of this but I call BS on this. I've had the goggles (Actually turned them on just for this) and I've not found a single egg in the AC. So to the people who say they give an advantage I call BS no matter if you have them or not. They might give a bit of an advantage but not much and this just makes me see no reason in hunting any more. I'm not going though the 2k + pets in the AC looking for something that might or might not be there. This completely nerfs the goggles and yes to me makes them useless, if I just wanted basic pets I'd just refresh a few times till I find something shiny or go hunt them down in explore myself. I also call BS on the ones who say you still get an advantage with goggles, frankly with them able to be any genus you don't. It was hard enough to catch them before this and now I'll admit I'm probably just gonna stop searching. Would I like to have one? Ya, but I'm not gonna spend hours randomly surfing the AC for one not when I should be able to just use my bloody goggles. Heck even if I found one with the goggles there is no 100% chance you'll get it after all yer racing every one else, so yes this annoys me. Stop nerfing things just because people flail and call 'foul' when those who have premium use it like it is meant to be used: as an advantage. We don't get to do it bloody often so give us our small things dang it all.

Might work better to just prevent people from adopting Teos more than once a week than to change how Goggles work for them. Or just saying, "JK guys. All Teos are now Raccoon Melos." :P Either one.

Just limiting a person to how many they can find would have worked better. :l (since it's a rare genus, have them unable to adopt for 2-4 weeks if they get it) I got the Premium membership because of it's perks, I don't enjoy them being taken like that. I understand why it was done, but another alternative would've been better than upsetting anyone who bought the goggles. I find that more unfair than changing the time between adopting or something if the rare genus was even found. People that used money to buy a premium membership or bought the Gp for the goggles are going to regret it, and that will only hurt the site's economy. :c

@24177 It's very sad for the people who bought the goggles after the teos were released (due to the insanely high prices), but how would anyone else who had the goggles know that there was going to be an adoption center species? o-O;
I doubt they bought it for the teos...

Even if they only limited the number of adoptions per person, the use of goggles will still give people a too large advantage. With this you still have an advantage over the people who do not have goggles, so please stop whining about how you missed a huge advantage. Most people have no advantage at all, so now we common people have a chance of getting one of these pets. And if you want one so badly, use your endless money to buy more breeding coins so you can get a rare one, instead of whining about not having the huge unfair advantage. Premium members get a bunch of advantages, so don't act like you have nothing.

@91 I got mine from being a premium member, I used it happily back then. This was a huge plus seeing the Teo Species, and now? I was saving up money for when the Black Friday Sale comes about, but seeing something like this makes me more wary of the site and spending my money on it. If I bought the Gp with my own money, bought an item which only did a small difference between me and other users, then the item I purchased for a large sum was made nearly useless to how it just was? There would be no way I would spend my money on the site again. :l If there was a thing where the goggles only worked once an hour like the pickaxe works every two hours, I'd still be content. Not as happy, but still content.

@24177 If you were happy back then before the teos, why aren't you happy now? I'm still a little confused x-x;

I mean I do get the feeling, since I have the goggles myself (and I even got a teo from it, although I gave it to someone else). But when I think about the users who don't have the goggles, they have almost 0% chance of getting it. This change seems fair to me, and I won't feel so bad when I get a teo.

(sorry for the double post) @49838 :P I work 10 hour days 4 days a week, and 8 on fridays, I have no chance anyways. I'm not upset for me, but for other people. And my money's not endless, I actually count every cent when I purchase something. I don't want to purchase things if the game changes part way though. This has probably stopped me from buying anything for at least a couple months. I cannot be the only person with this point of view

@24177 It looks like I should be the one who should apologize for the double post xD
It's not as if this advantage was advertised when the goggles came out, so the site is not at fault here. But it does appear you are not the only person with your point of view. Even though a lot of people like it, there are lots of people who are really unhappy with this change...
