For those of you celebrating Easter with lily flowers this weekend, and you have cats, please be careful and review this resource on lily poisoning in cats.
Fake lilies look just as lovely and won't be dangerous to your cats. Be careful!

Aw Slash and Co. I love you guys for posting this reminder. Some people with pets don't realize how dangerous some house plants can be. Thank you!

Thanks for the advice... this is news to me. I'll be sure not to buy lilies in the future in fear for my little kitties.

Eek! I'm glad our cats don't go outside. Mom just planted day lilies this week.

Be careful of lillies with all pets to be honest, I think they're pretty poisonous to most animals.

almost all spring bulb plants (daffodils, hyacinths, crocus, etc) are dangerous as well, along with dahlias and many common house plants. the best rule of thumb is not to allow pets - or small children - access to ANY house plants or decorative live arrangements.
(nearly all Christmas plants are highly toxic as well)

Thank you for bringing it to peoples awareness. My cat chews on everything so I don't bring in any plants.
