For those of you celebrating Easter with lily flowers this weekend, and you have cats, please be careful and review this resource on lily poisoning in cats.
Fake lilies look just as lovely and won't be dangerous to your cats. Be careful!

Thanks for posting this. Some easters ago, my neighbor's precious cat name Kami (nicknamed Kami the Kamikaze with her leaping off the top step because she could) got into some lilies. It was too late when they got her to the vet. Turns out, she had the worst kidney failure of any cat they had seen in a long time.

Oh my gosh! Thank you so, so much! I have a huge lily arrangement on my table right now for Easter and my cat likes to chew plants...I haven't seen her up there but she's been home alone with them for a while. Moved the lilies outside and am closely watching her for symptoms. Ironically, my cat's name is Lily.

As a crazy cat lady, I really love that Aywas cares so much about it's community members and their familiars! Most holiday plants are toxic to pets, that's why I never get to have any poinsettias! But lack of floral arrangements is a small price to pay for the love of a four legged fur baby!
