This kitty needs your help.

If you haven't read Springdragon's thread yet, his roommate slammed his kitty's tail into a door. Long story short, this cat is going to die unless they can afford the $600 vet bill to get the cat surgery.

Aywas is going to try and fundraise as much money as we can to help save this cat's life. To do this we are selling 12 Quetzals colored in the cat's colors (called Bane Quetzals, respectively, as the cat's name is Bane) for $50 each.

12/12 Quetzals have been reserved so far.

Because these Quetzals are going to be customs, they will not be obtainable in any other way but helping save this cat's life.

There will only be a maximum of 12 of these on the site. Ever. If you want to reserve a Bane Quetzal and help the kitty get the surgery, message me regarding the $50 donation.

If you'd like to donate money directly to Springdragon to help with the cost of the surgery, contact him directly. Click here to message Springdragon directly.

For every direct donation you send to Springdragon, you will get the equivalent in GP and a special Bane kitty item if the donation is $5 or over. (you get this item if you reserve a quetzal too)

Okay, according to my records the Quetzals have sold out. But you're welcome to donate for the kitty item to Springdragon to cover the morphine costs or any other costs associated with the kitty getting better.

This was so cool of you Slash. <333

I wish Bane the best of luck in surgery. I know how it is to have to get a cat treated for something you can't afford. I JUST had to get both my cats' kidneys flushed and all that. A good grand out of my grant money. :* Ugh. I hope everything turns out okay. :C

This...is too awesome for words. I'm SO happy that Bane will be able to get his surgery. I wish I could donate something myself, but I've got to save my money so I can get an eye exam, and my wisdom teeth taken out. (EWW) XD

Best of luck!

/: I'm sorry, but I have to agree with Rapture. I mean, I don't wan to see a cats broken tail, but that costs just as much as my dog's invasive surgery to remove kidney stones did. We didn't get any help for that an my mom dipped into our college funds to pay for it and all without any help from internet people. Not even my dad could help because he was layed off for a half a year. /: Is there some way you can sort of prove this? A picture of the cat at the vet, or a scan of the paper the vet gives you when you bring in the cat? I know I got a signed and dated paper with estimates for my dog's surgery when I went in and asked for it just last month.

Update:: I called the vet this morning, and kitty is still in shock. They're not going to attempt surgery yet, and just keep trying to stablize him for today.

Erik::

Yes, you can has pictures. When I go to the vet to visit him (She said tomorrow, but I want to try to drop by this afternoon, after school.) I will take lots of pictures, and maybe even one of the missing bit of tail, because they still have it.

I gotta love the skeptics, they make my day feel so warm and fuzzy ^o^

For those who can't believe it would cost $600 to remove a tail, I visited my friend google and with a minimal amount of effort found someone else who had been quoted that amount of money for amputation of the tail:

https://www.yelp.com/topic/san-francisco-600--1600-for-a-tail-ampuation

Springdragon is lucky, it could cost a lot more.

I wish I could donate to help Bane, but I can't. I hate hearing about animals that have been hurt. I hope he makes a full recovery. Please keep us updated on his condition.
