This kitty needs your help.
If you haven't read Springdragon's thread yet, his roommate slammed his kitty's tail into a door. Long story short, this cat is going to die unless they can afford the $600 vet bill to get the cat surgery.
Aywas is going to try and fundraise as much money as we can to help save this cat's life. To do this we are selling 12 Quetzals colored in the cat's colors (called Bane Quetzals, respectively, as the cat's name is Bane) for $50 each.
12/12 Quetzals have been reserved so far.
Because these Quetzals are going to be customs, they will not be obtainable in any other way but helping save this cat's life.
There will only be a maximum of 12 of these on the site. Ever. If you want to reserve a Bane Quetzal and help the kitty get the surgery, message me regarding the $50 donation.
If you'd like to donate money directly to Springdragon to help with the cost of the surgery, contact him directly. Click here to message Springdragon directly.
For every direct donation you send to Springdragon, you will get the equivalent in GP and a special Bane kitty item if the donation is $5 or over. (you get this item if you reserve a quetzal too)
Okay, according to my records the Quetzals have sold out. But you're welcome to donate for the kitty item to Springdragon to cover the morphine costs or any other costs associated with the kitty getting better.

Awwh..I used to have a gray tabby, myself...he was only two years old when someone literally chased him off of the road with their car, into a gravel field and ran him over -- it was a dirt road and it had been raining, so you could even see the tire marks going off and coming back onto the road..that was over two years ago, and I still miss my baby like hell. .-.
I didn't even know a tail injury could be so bad to be life-threatening, but I guess if it affects the spine that badly..god, that's awful. uu; That's really sweet of you to do that for them. If I had anything left /in/ my paypal account, I'd spend it here. I hope the kitty gets his surgery, he's beautiful. Oh, and that's a gorgeous quetzal, too. I love mackerel tabbies. Thanks for helping everyone! Kitty and I really appreciate it. (Mr. Roommate appreciates it too, even though he's cranky because I'm furious and refusing to talk to him for being so careless with my cat!)
Rapture: I'll take pics when I see him at the vet later today, or when we finally get to bring him home (assuming he makes it) with more than half of his tail gone, and give you a scan of the bill when it comes, if you want.

It's fantastic that you managed to sell all 12. It makes me SO extremely happy that aywas isn't just another petsite with admins who lost their care for their members, like majority of them are. Really, it is so heartwarming that an admin saw this and wanted to help, and I am so extremely happy the aywas commnity was more than happy to lend a hand. I wish I had the money to donate still, I feel guilty for not being able to, But again, I am so very extremely proud of everyone, members and admin alike, for bringing so much attention so this cat's life could be saved ♥. This really has just given aywas a massive shove to be up with my top 3 sites now. I hope you guys never change, really.

Also keep in mind that there are people on the buying forums desperately after a Quetzal and they're offering good amounts of money & other items and such for a critter like this.
If you've got $50 to spare (that you'd otherwise spend here, anyway), you can always help someone else that doesn't have the funds get one & get money/items yourself!
Same goes for me, sadly, I don't have $50 I can use for this, but I have a lot of items & money & GP I'd offer up to someone that would send in $50 for the poor thing!
