The Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge located in Eureka Spring, AR, is the home of a white tiger named Kenny, who was born with facial defects. These deformities give him a pug nose and crooked teeth. As a resident of AR, I've actually seen Kenny up close and personal. Anyone who makes it this far south can drive over to Turpentine Creek and get to know many big cats (and bears, monkeys, and the occasional peacock if you can catch one!) while also making donations to the upkeep of these epic creatures.

Only Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, and Wyoming ban the keeping of Big Cats as pets. The other states would let you keep a tiger or a lion in your home. Male ligers are sterile but the females can breed. Also, both ligers and tigons, as well as other crosses such as the results of a breed between a leopard and a jaguar, have only basic rights- food, shelter, etcetera- in the US. Therefore, these animals unfortunately are allowed to be hunted on game preserves without legal ramifications, because they're not viewed as a result of a natural breeding that you would see in the wild.

Oh, I wish I could post more than one... Show off the fact that Meow avidly watches Animal Planet and National Geographic...
Hmm, let's see. Because lionesses continue to hunt while pregnant (I think someone else mentioned that), lion cubs rest in protective slings inside the womb, to help keep them from being injured.
Evolutionary motherly love. Gotta love it!

Cheetahs were once imported to England solely to be raced against greyhounds. Needless to say the cheetahs were faster. xD

A marozi is a cross between a lion and a leopard. They're considered naturally-occuring, though no real evidence exists.

Cheetahs can not roar, but they can purr, growl, hiss, and use serveral other calls to contact each other, including a birdlike chirp.

All large cats, and wolves too, consume first the stomach and intestines of their pray- this suggests that they are not strictly carnivores, as they digest and use the grains and grasses they consume in this manner. [No joke, look it up.]
