Internet Censorship
If you haven't already heard of SOPA, it's bill going through committee in the US that basically allows the US government to censor the internet, and makes website owners liable for what users post.
All of us need to protest.
The bill means the government can block what YOU view because one person posts something that infringes copyright. That means all video streaming sites are vulnerable, all forums, all pet sites that allow user content, all social networking sites, the moment someone notices a user posting copyrighted material.
It means that web site owners will be legally liable for what their users post, as opposed to now, where they are required to remove content upon being notified of the infringement. And I dunno about you but that sounds like death to user content everywhere.
The efforts of everyone is necessary in making sure Congress hears our outcry about this. To learn more, search for SOPA in an internet search engine and look at the recent news articles, or go to AmericanCensorship.org.

Seriously. What the hell is wrong with this country?????
It seems every day, our government tries to come up with someone to royally screw its constituents.
I swear to god I am moving to Canada.

I signed. I personally don't think it's going to matter. The government has complete control wether we protest or not, but I tried anyway, what's a few seconds of my time if it somehow, unbelievably brings about a miracle?

Moving won't save you, if the site falls under US domain you won't be able to view it from any other Country either from what I've read. They'll just be removing the sites from the internet.
On another note Obama has already said He'll veto that thing if it gets as far as his desk.

I've signed a couple of protests about the legislation, and I've just been watching this video on youtube which raises some very good points about said legislation if anyone is interested.

I signed it and shared it on my Facebook.I'm a website owner and this is scary for me.I sell household items and gifts, but who's to say they couldn't shut me down due to an image on my site? I feared this would eventually happen...
