We have some exciting updates to share!
First up, the NPC's have all set up and are ready to receive trick or treaters!
Swing by the Site Characters page and trick or treat them when they are available.
This year, how it works has been adjusted from past events, and it does not work as it used to. You can now trick-or-treat almost all NPCs; the ones you can't will display as not home.
NPC's care about your Karma; if it's red, you may find they are less than friendly. As well as some NPC's will always be grumpy to be visited. Also, some are delighted to see you and will give you more than the others! Results now pop up on the right side of the browser.
Due to the overhaul, custom events (like hiding candy) have been removed for this year; it's not a bug. It just doesn't fit with the current system, and overall, this way will get you more candy (as long as you keep your karma green!).

The widget is now live! It has been moved from the trick-or-treat page to the sidebar. It comes with several features.
- You can click and drag it to another place if you prefer it in a different spot.
- Double-click it to re-nest it in the sidebar
- If you manage to drag it to a spot you can't reach, log out and back in it will reset to the sidebar.
- Visitor counter takes you right to the visitors page! Quick and easy access.

Events
You can now make some friends (or enemies) through Trick or Treating! Here's a quick refresher on how it works!
Sending Requests
You can visit the Trick or Treating page to start. Listed there are currently online Aywans interested in accepting Trick or Treat requests. Just click on the "Trick or Treat" button below their name to send the request. You can send requests to an Aywan every 30 minutes. This page will update itself when an Aywan's online status changes.
Processing Requests
As you receive requests, Go to My Visitors to view your requests. From there, you'll have the option to trick or treat your visitor.
Treating visitors will cost 1,000 BP each at minimum. Tricking visitors is free!You have 15 minutes to respond to a Trick or Treat request before it expires.
The Site Characters are still preparing for the season, and have not yet joined the Trick or Treat festivities.
Located on the Trick or Treat status box is a Karma Meter. As you send trick or treat requests or trick visitors, you will incur negative (red) karma. Vise-versa, treating users will give you positive (green) karma. Both karma levels have their benefits and risks, so experiment around!
As a reminder, the Pumpkin Patch is open as well! Remember, any and all messages left in pumpkins must follow the Terms of Service. Additionally, the pumpkins cannot be tagged as [M]ature, so do not put anything that may need this tag into the pumpkins. If you pick up a pumpkin that violates either of these rules, please PM a staff member. Be kind, and have fun!
Don't forget to continue checking the Advent Calendar throughout the rest of the month! Will it be a yummy treat or something spooky? Check in every day to find out!
In preparation for the Giant Cauldron which will begin brewing in a couple of days, be sure to collect herbs from Greenhouse! Don't forget, you can also use them in Rowan's Potion Brewing, but be wary of what you grab - Minerva is watching!
The Spooky Forest is now open! As you adventure through it, you will be able to pick up Bootato, which will be one of the currencies used for the Seasonal Shop! You can find any pets that you may have missed out on from previous years, along with a few new ones!

Downtime
Site Update
As some of you may have noticed, the site had some downtime for a significant part of the early morning until mid-afternoon.
This was due to some hardware issues the host experienced that caused the site to be unavailable until the issues were fixed.
Due to this, anyone who has logged on in the last 7 days was sent a Downtime Potion.
See This database to view the SCC bases it makes, with up to 50% edits.
An extra Advent day will also be added to make up for anyone who missed today's Advent.
Thank you for being understanding and patient while we worked with the host to get it fixed!

The spooky season has arrived - you can now access the Ghoulish Gala Hub
The Pumpkin Patch is now open as well! Remember, any and all messages left in pumpkins must follow the Terms of Service. Starting tomorrow, October 25th, you will be able to collect one festive item per day from the Advent Calendar! Will it be a yummy treat or something spooky? Check in every day to find out!
You can now collect herbs from the Greenhouse to use in Rowan's Potion Brewing, but be wary of what you grab - Minerva is watching!
The Ghoulish Gala festivities will continue. Just keep an eye on the news for more!
Also, we've made some changes over in the Egg Field
Depositing has been disabled. It no longer requires you to deposit an egg to withdraw.

Starting off, we have our GP Shop and BP Shop pets, which will be obtainable through the Essence of Septober 2025! This is the final month that this potion will be available!

Pleased to report you can all stop sweating nervously while staring at your unfinished predicts. Like many university students cramming before their deadlines, Patrice, Pete, and Paul have been granted special consideration and got you an extension! Oh em gee.
You will now have until FEBRUARY 28TH, 2026, 11.59PM AST (the little clock at the top right corner of the Aywas page!) to submit your predictions to qualify for PPP perks!

To ensure your predictions get processed smoothly, please make sure that you've correctly attached your images and PSDs. If you aren't taking advantage of perks like extra babies, please leave a message in the Breeding Notes so that the queue heads know the breeding is ready to go!

The submission threads for the Ghoulish Gala are now open in the Events forum! Please keep in mind that if you are submitting a pet, the site pet thread is where the design will be available to everyone. The Cauldron thread is for designs that will be given out as a custom pet during the event, which means only one person will obtain that design. The deadline to submit your entries is 11:59 PM AST on October 10th!
It's almost that time of year again - the Black Friday Sale! This year, the sale will run November 13th to November 18th. While we'll have more information for you in regards to the actual sale when it's not so far away, here's some crucial information for those who would like to participate by creating sets:
You may create a set from any of the Exotic Genera (Teo, Faux, Snoodle, or Oët). A set is 5 custom pets with identical edits, all colored uniquely. If your set is accepted, you are also permitted 1 semi-unique that you can turn in at that time or at a later date. All applications must be PM'd to Mayday Marie (#11) with the following subject line: Black Friday 2025 - [email protected] - please replace the e-mail with your PayPal address. You must PM Mayday Marie (#11) with a sketch for for approval! Your sketches must be either 200px or 400px, and they should not be a screenshot of your canvas. If you send Marie a finished product without doing this first, we do not have to accept it. If you make more sets than the ones we approve you to do, we do not have to accept them. You must also send Mayday Marie (#11) examples of your shading and coloring - please embed them as an image that does not exceed 600px and not a link. If you send more than 5 examples, you may be asked to choose which ones you feel best represent your current work. Users may only submit 3 sketches at a time. If more are submitted you will be asked to choose 3 of them to be assessed. Additional sketches will not be assessed until accepted sketches are submitted as complete sets. There will be no exceptions. All sets should be between 50% - 75%. If your set is spectacular, we will accept less edits. We are allowing very few silvers! We will not be accepting a dozen Teos that only have the tails left. All PSDs must be breedable! This means separated edits, shading, highlights, coloring, etc. We will not accept pets that are unbreedable, and we will be checking PSDs. All sets must be completed and turned in to Mayday Marie (#11) by 11:59 PM AST on November 7th!
The payment options are as follows:
$50 paid after Black Friday is over; you must sell at least one coloration of your set on Day 1 or Day 2 to be able to claim this option! 100 GP + 5 SP paid once the set is finished. No base pay, however you are granted a 75% unique of any of the exotic genera creatable this Black Friday. (You are welcome to sell this slot as well, however you must do part of the artwork for it.) 1 Black Friday Egg for the $50 Day. If you do two sets, then you can trade both payments in for 1 Black Friday Egg for the first day!The sell out bonus will work the same as it has been: should your set sell out on day 1 (November 14th) you get a bonus of $75, day 2 (November 15th) is $50 and day 3 (November 16th) is $25.
