Let's pretend today is Saturday for a couple of minutes, because I have new explore pets!
But, before we go any further, I do want to mention that Adventure only has four locations open right now on purpose. People were taking advantage of the high-leveled, wild Rainforest pets, but I assure you that your favorite locations will re-open when the Haunted House closes down for the season! Now, onto the lovely new pets for this week:

We apologize for the lack of new explore pets lately, but I know the Haunted House has been keeping you guys pretty busy! I also have a small coder-related update for you! Zander, whom you probably know as Rebel, is still MIA. He has been replaced with Aggie, who will be working on a ton of features that are owed to us throughout October and November. Maaaybe something to do with HAs and something to finally use those handguns for! .. Wait, that came out wrong. Those are two separate features, we're not going to be using handguns with HAs any time soon. XD
Don't worry, Yasu will still be our fixes guru and that is still the priority. As soon as I chat with him a little later tonight, I'm hoping to have some more updates in that arena.

Shiny Updates!

Ooh, shiny keys!
Congratulations to those of you who opened the first 100 chests!
That's all folks, nothing more to see here, pack up and go home.
Oh, wait a second. You're right. I said the first 100 chests, didn't I? Meaning not all the chests ever.
If your heart is fluttering at the prospect of more treasure chests overflowing with goodies, you have good reason, because we will be sporadically refilling the chests with new prizes! They won't have things like pendants in them again, but they'll hold some pretty good pickin's if you ask me. :3
Just a reminder that our Cancer Awareness Charity Drive is still going strong!
These pets are limited edition, so your last chance to donate to get the Drylis, Reve, Suune or Velox will be October 21 at 11:59 PM Aywas time.
(If you cannot donate by that time because of a late paycheck or something, PM me and we'll talk.)

Pumpkin Carving Contest!

Aywas is having a pumpkin carving contest!
We want to see your carving skills--Aywas style.
The contest is simple: You must do an Aywas-related pumpkin carving and then put a light inside so we can see your creation glow!

Giant Cauldron Update

We made a small adjustment to the cauldron to hopefully help with the custom distribution. You can now successfully turn in ingredients and claim a pet once every 48 hours. Let's give more people a chance, okay?
Approximately 15 pets will be put into the cauldron each day in groups of ~5 or so at sporadic times to try and balance their availability out amongst timezones.
The cauldron will go quiet after the 31st is over because we don't have enough pets to keep it open for a substantial amount of time after that, however, the Haunted House region will be available for at least a week into November, if not two, due to the downtime. When Yasu and I decide on a date, I will let you guys know so that you can plan ahead!

I found the sources of the issues and fixed them. If this problem arises again, I'll just disable EXP earning from losing battles.
I'm also coming across a lot of reports that pet/monsters are too strong. The way the CPU works is that what ever level the CPU is set to, they get the same exact amount of pool points to spend on themselves as the players on the site does. So let's say at Lv. 20 you get 130 PP to spend, if the CPU is Lv. 20, they'll get the exact same amount. Although, I am starting to realize that this obviously isn't working, so I'll play around with the algorithm of the CPU and see if I can make 'em a bit easier to defeat for you guys.
In the mean time, if you guys are finding it way too difficult to defeat the CPU, keep in mind you do have the advantage of having weapons/armours to equip to your pets =3

how it has been done, I am disabling earning EXP for a bit. I'll update you guys when the problem has been fixed.

Haunted House Returns
Site Update
After being closed down for nearly two weeks, we are happy to announce the return of the Haunted House. We have spent the past few weeks optimizing and debugging the scripts for both the adventure and battle system, and we're hoping the changes we've done will cut back on the lag compared to when it was released two weeks ago.
A few changes I need to let you guys know of
Haunted Keys
Back when the Treasure Chests, we had a few members take advantage of a glitch that gave out chests for Apple Coconuts. We have retrieved these prizes back from those users and reset the Treasure Chests. To get your Haunted Key, you'll need to defeat the boss in the Haunted House. Be careful though, the boss is tough. Also, anyone who have mastered the Haunted House had had their Haunted House level reset to 14. We've done this to allow those users a chance of getting a Haunted Key.
Pet Levels & Stats Reset
We also noticed that a few users were exploiting the new systems to quickly gain their pet's level by visiting areas with higher level pets and losing to them on purpose. We have put a stop to this. If you lose to an opponent that's at a much higher level than your pet is, your pet will earn a lot less EXP than what it was able to before. Also, to correct the system, any pet over the level 20 has had their level reset back to 20. All pets has had their stats and pool points reset so before you head out and start battling, make sure you spend your pool points first
It takes a few bad apples to spoil the bunch. If you guys every encounter glitches on this site that allow you or anyone to get an unfair advantage over the players on this site, you need to report it. Either message it directly to me or File a Report. We don't like having to set back players on this site that are doing things legit, but we have to make sure everything is as fair and blanced as possible. If we find out you have been exploiting a glitch on this site for your own gains, you risk the chance of having your account banned.
As well, if you encounter problems on the site that you believe isn't suppose to be there, please don't look for ways around it. Let me know or another member of the staff so we can fix it. The problem will still remain if it's not being reported. so just give us a chance to fix it.
Now for the good stuff. Because it took us so long to get these systems back up, we decided to do a few special things for you guys =3
Fountain
For those of you who do not know about the Fountain, you can go there to restore some energy for your pet and Faunas. We have also updated the Fountain to fully restore your pet's health. You can visit the fountain once every 30 minutes.
Double EXP for Battledome and Adventure
From today until Monday at midnight, earned double EXP from completing challeneges in the Battledome and battling in Adventure. We have also increased the chance of encounter of pets and monsters for the Haunted House, so go out there and have some fun!
I believe that's it for now. Remember, you may encounter errors the staff may not have caught while we were debugging the systems. If you run into any problems, you can report them here. Try to include as much information as you can about the issue you encounter and I'll try to fix 'em as soon as I can.
