As you may or may not have noticed, today a few changes were made to the EXP system for Aywas in the hopes to make the system a bit more enjoyable and feasible for future ideas/projects with Adventure.
One of the changes is that you should be seeing more EXP from battles, which should make it easier to reach the next level. Note however, that the first few levels (1-12) may experience an increase to battles needed in order to level, but if this needs to be altered more, we will be looking into it. (Baby steps!)
Another change you should see is status ailments should be able to be resisted now if you have the right item/resistance requirement. For example, an Anti-Freeze should be properly anti-freezing your pets. As of now, Poison Gem and Anti-Freeze Potion are functioning correctly only. We'll be going through the items/weapons/armor and fixing each one accordingly.
Not all changes are fully implemented yet and numbers may still be tweaked.

Terms of Service Update

We have updated our Terms of Service to reflect the fact that Aywas now uses AdSense to serve advertisements (section: Privacy Policy). At the moment we have one ad, which will show at the bottom of the page, but one will be added to the left side as well.
Following the recent PBC discussion, we came to a conclusion: the users understandably do not want to pay more for breeding coins, but the artists want to be paid more. As a result, we came up with a way to pay artists more without raising the price of coins--serving advertisements that help bridge that financial gap. You can read more about this discussion here.
Aywas is committed to blacklisting ads that are offensive or behave in ways that aggravate or diminish the player's experience. To report an advertisement, go to this thread in the Help forums and we will investigate the situation and block the ad if needed.
By starting our ad serving now, we'll have a half month to see how much revenue we can expect from this, and can better inform our artists what to expect in terms of ad-paid bonuses monthly.

Choose Your Artist

Okay! It's the 16th, which means it's time to choose your PBC artists! If you go to the Standing Stones and click on your PBC breeding, you'll see the list of artists. We have over forty artists to choose from and you can pick as many as you want and change them whenever you'd like! The more artists you choose, the faster your breeding will be done.
Artists, remember, if you'd like to apply to PBC, come fill out this application form and we'd love to have you.
Remember that starting April 20th, artists will be able to start claiming the oldest breeding in the queue with them named as artist. And also don't forget, you can add Artist Tickets and bonus items and anything you'd like to breedings you already have submitted!

Has the Tax Man got you down? You can turn in 20 Bonus Credit in exchange for a PLBC from now until 11:59 PM tomorrow. Be sure to submit them, though, because the PLBC team is looking at no queue!

Breeding Add-Ons

We have upgraded the Standing Stones to allow players to add additional add-ons onto their breedings while they are pending assignment. Pretty much all add-ons are permitted with the exception of add-ons that enable a breeding to have more offspring. Those generally require the permission of another pet's owner.
This means if you forget a Painted Gold on a painted breeding, you can go back and add it in without having to ask an Admin. It also means you can add items like thematic add-ons, Artist Tickets, Painted Pens, or bonus pay items onto your breedings whenever you want.
All paintbrushes have been added to the add-on list as a way for users to tip or offer bonus to their artists if desired. For full disclosure, paintbrushes are not available through Random Breeding Addon items.
We are making great progress on updating the PBC Panel to accommodate all of the expectations of the original PBC thread, such as the ability to view your position in the queue by artist and making Artist Tickets hard-coded into PBC breedings. We are right on schedule for rolling out the feature and really looking forward to seeing how it improves the coin's queue.

Scav Teo Egg

As there appear to be a large number of Scav Teos left over, we have decided to liquidate them at 5 Scav Paws. The Scav Teo Egg is now stocking at that price.
All cleared out! Thank you. Starting May 1st, you will start seeing the May Sale Teos trickling in there little by little.

PBC Artists Conversion

The new (almost complete) PBC Panel is seeking existing and new artists to join the PBC team. The payment for PBC artists is a flat $20 for one offspring and $30 for two offspring (Life Seed).
If you are a PBC artist that had a higher rate negotiated with Vampi, don't worry, as we still have previous payment records intact. If you had a lower rate than the new flat rate, congratulations as you just got a raise. We will also be introducing new breeding add-ons that allow an artist a bonus, and the usual GCC/MDT tipping feature is available through PBC Panel.
Everyone is welcome to join the PBC team, so if you would like to apply then go ahead and do so. The new deadlines that we will be enforcing with the PBC panel is one breeding completed per two months minimum and when you claim a job, it must be completed within one month. We feel that these deadlines are fair as it allows an artist to take a month break in between breedings if desired.
We are in the process of integrating the panel with the queue. It will allow artists to claim the oldest job that they are listed as a preferred artist for. This upgrade will permit the users to select artists (and change them) whenever they want from their Standing Stones view of the breeding.
Here is the integration schedule:
1. Starting April 12 - Artists may start joining the team.
2. Starting April 16 - Players will be able to go to their PBC breedings in the Standing Stones and select their desired artists. Update your breedings as new artists are accepted throughout the week (or, you know, whenever).
2. Starting April 20 - Artists will be permitted to claim the oldest breeding that has them listed as a preferred artist. This means that no one loses their spot in the queue.
Re-working this queue over to the new PBC Panel will take a while and we expect there will be some bumps along the way, but ideally this will improve the PBC experience.

The Easter/Spring adventure continues!

Some new pets have sprung up in Adventure!
You'll find 10 Easter/Spring-themed pets in the nine main Ay areas of Adventure, along with a colorful batch of dyes, all of which will be available through the rest of the month.
We're giving you a head start on your dye collecting before opening up the Easter Painter. :3
Once open, the feature will allow you to create pets with your dyes, each requiring a slightly different recipe of colors.
Stay tuned for some Fresh and Autumn Leaves raffles as well!
We hope you are continuing to enjoy the Egg Field (and the handy countdown timer Yasu added so that you can see when you can next snatch up an egg)! n_n
I also wanted to quickly remind everyone that while eggs appear anonymous in the field, we do have the ability to track them as always. If you are sending blatantly hurtful/ToS-violating messages or images through the field, staff will not hesitate to ban your account. The vast majority of eggs are filled with nice, generic messages or are blank, but if you do come across an egg that contains something inappropriate, please PM me.
